This song is from the 'Out of the Glen' CD, published and written by Paul Macleish. The song is about the 'Queen of the Elves.' The Queen of the Elves was a folk tale from Scotland. MacGilliossa took the idea and turned it into a great Celtic tune. For more about this song, go to macgilliossa.com

  • Faeries, in my experience, worship 'The Truth' like most other Devic creatures. They are brutally honest and shrewd bargainers. If you ask something of them, you have to be damn specific. Ask for a jacket. Is is leather? What size is it? Is it new or old? And they will ask for something return. And they will expect you to honor the deal.
They are genuinely good and caring creatures, but very disgusted by modern mankind. Our relationship with their like has been weakened and souring since the 11th Century. Maybe even before when Charlemagne came into power....
There is no difference between the Roman Empire or 'Holy' Roman Empire. They've never stopped in their pursuit of conquest and destruction.
    But I recognize them.
I recognized the Roman/Hitler salute. I recognized the thinly veiled Romanization of the German military and culture come WWII.
They haven't fooled me. They didn't fool my kin Paul von Lettow/Vorbeck, Claus von Stauffenberg.
    Es Lebe Das Heilige Deutschland!
