Consider tossing in horses that have champagne, cream, or gray dilutions instead of plain chestnut at the start, it would help with providing different variations of coats.. Secondly, anything that isn't bay or chestnut could be considered an uncommon color. White and black are pretty, but not necessarily rare. Palominos, Buckskin, Grays, Champagne variants, etc can be considered rare especially as Thoroughbreds or any breed that aren't certain types of ponies, Belgian Draft horses, and American Quarter Horses. I don't think Rival Stars' genetic system is intricate enough for "rare" horse coats slash patterns. 😅 I really wish they would add mixed patterns. I dunno how realistic that would be but it would be so cool to have a pinto slash paloosa foal and them being able to pass down their coat to their foal and so on so forth. However if you really do want variety in coats and patterns you should get market horses. They may not look interesting or have patterns, but they have a full family tree and sometimes you can find some of the new patterns and head markings within them, and they can pass them down to their foals. Same with the random selection of studs in the breeding menu!
