A Step by step guide to tying shoes using the "magic fingers" method

I taught myself how to do this yesterday using this video:    • Video  . But my daughter, who has dexterity / coordination challenges needed a really good break down. So I came up with my own way of describing it and had her tying her shoes in a few minutes. I hope you find this helpful!

PS. Sorry about the swaying in the beginning; I had literally tied my camera to the ceiling.

    I just have to say that I literally hung my camera from the ceiling with a pin and a shoe string to film this video. I laugh so hard watching this now because it really is such bad film making. Thanks for watching!

    Had a hard time teaching this to my little brother, it was really fast and he got it 1st try. He now ties his shoes in like 5 seconds. Thanks so much!

    I have failed to teach my son how to tie his laces the way I do, so I looked for a alternate method. I came across the magic fingers technique but I just couldn't do it. This is the only video I have seen that made me understand it. Thank you so much for this explanation. I have learned to tie my shoes at 42! I will teach my kids this method.
