Heh, I'm also often depressed on new years eve... The whole expectation that it should be festive and great, amazing things happening and being social and whatnot and if it doesn't live up anywhere near to the stereotypical expectation of a new year, I feel sad, lonely and depressed... Really silly, kinda - as without those expectations, even those days could be relaxing and very comfortable.
