Traded my 1500 Laramie in for a 2500 tradesman Cummins. Love it and couldn’t be happier with the “downgrade” in trim levels. Was sick of the overly electronic BS in the Laramie. My 2500 does have the 8.5” Uconnect radio screen though and the full electronic dashboard. Not sure what they added from the dealer but that is cool to have. Love the truck though!

Your dad made a good choice. The Tradesman has all the stuff you need. These days everyone dresses up their trucks with gadgets, gizmos, luxury items. Stuff that does not age well and don't help you get things done. When you buy a truck for work the functional things that help get work done are what's important and you can option the Tradesman to do that. The long bed is hard to find so you have to order the trucks with what you want and then wait to get it. Seeing that transfer tank in the bed of your truck says it all. You obviously use your truck for work. Take good care of it and it will last. Well done, thanks for sharing.

Nice video! I just bought the same truck in White and I love it! Thanks for sharing video!

Tradesman is the best IMO. All of the stuff you need and none of the stuff you don’t. You can get the 2 best things, Cummins and Aisin, and less of the worst, which in Rams is electronics. “Chrome” accents are a waste of money, they’re harder to keep clean and don’t look as good as black.

They stopped putting mirrors on driver visors a long time ago.
  • You are a natural DJ. Thanks for the feedback, think this will replace the power wagon.
  • I have dark Grey tradesmen hemi, looks more expensive than it was, the cloth seats are way better than the ford's, I drive ford's at work, the seats on the bottom sides are garbage

    I found a 2021 tradesman for 50k 34k miles… is that a good deal?

Still a nice truck! I just picked up a 2022 Limited Longhorn 2500 Cummins .. My lifelong dream truck! Don't ask what I paid 😮

Thanks, try to keep your nose clean on the next video and no, Cummins Diesels do not have glow plugs at all, take care.
  • I have reviewed your review of your new Ram 2500 and I have some advice for you,..... DON'T QUIT YOUR DAY JOB, YOU AREN'T READY FOR PRIME TIME!!!!! To begin with get an education and expand your vocabulary and product knowledge of the item that you are reviewing. Learn to pronounce names and words properly, for instance you mispronounced the name of the next trim level of Laramie, it's easily found in the media(commercials) as well as the net (other reviews). I am sure that the citizens of the city of Laramie have already taken offense to your mispronouncing of the name of their fair city. And while on the subject of words, we who are knowledgeable in the automotive world and industry use the terms "trim level", or "trim levels", or "option packages", or where appropriate "model level". This is a no brainer, just check the way other reviewers use the terms, or better still review the window sticker, a product website, or better yet the manufacturer's published full sized product catalog, not the little ones. The large Ram brochures will have accurate information. Study them, this way you can tell people what they can have as options for items that are not included, like a full fledged second glove box on the upper level where the open shelf is, or a column shifter as opposed to the electronic shifter dial, that would occupy the little cubby hole that you indicated for placing the key fob. The road test should have had your camera mounted and focused on the outside towards the road not on you, and while your description of ride quality was good, you didn't make a real effort to talk about handling for a truck this big, laden or unladen, and when you accelerated the vehicle you should used a set speed as a terminal speed like 0 to 60 mph. A test of braking distances is also in order. Also in describing the NVH characteristics you could have done a better job and cited the decibel levels. Oh,....... you probably don't know what NVH stands for do you? NVH stands for Noise, Vibration, and Harshness, dumbass. Overall I give you a grade of -D, on the presentation for the reasons stated above, it was sophomoric, and unprofessional. As I stated before DON'T QUIT YOUR DAY JOB. Since in the real world I do business consulting, I will send you an invoice for my consulting services, I am very knowledgeable and experienced along with being very expensive. Hope that you have deep pockets in your Carharts.
