That’s right; no air conditioning. Now you know why that postal worker climbed a clock tower in Austin with a sniper rifle, and went “postal”. (It was back in the 60’s, but still) It gets up to 115° in Texas... in the shade!!!

I'm a carrier, our office has about 15 of the new Mercedes Metris vans. I have one on my route and I LOVE it. Heat, A.C. and a radio!

Its normal for us to have the old mail truck but people are gonna grow up without them

The current ones jus have a portable mini fan and are so old and rusted that even putting on a blinker you gotta struggle.

If you ask me, I think these new delivery vehicles should be called "HUEYS." Check out & compare the shape of the Vietnam era Huey helicopter's front windshield and nose to the "new fangled" mail trucks.
