Now I really want to be a project manager. I never would have expected myself to have the underlying skillset. Thank you Googlers for the detailed descriptions of all the various jobs and their importance. The more I learn the more excited I become about the potentials for the Grow with Google project. Awesome. Whoever gave you this strategy is almost as cool as the people actually implementing the plan. Just what I was hoping for...mulberries, blueberries, and Arkie references too. Cool. Very cool.

There's a difference between a project life cycle (eg technical work like Analysis, design, develop, test, implement) which contains phases and a project management lifecycle like the project management process groups (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing). These process groups are not always strictly sequential and are not the same as phases. Also Waterfall is not purely linear. It has feedback loops. See the original Rolls Royce schematic. It is better to use the word "predictive."
  • Hello What happened with monitoring and controlling ? congratz on project!
