Most hunting channels have young bucks climbing the hills with ease. Watching you stick with it at your own pace, gives people our age the inspiration to keep hunting.. congrats

This is one of the best hunting videos I've ever watched. It gave the feeling of the solitude of the experience, the struggle came through yet so did Jim's optimism. When I realized Marcus was doing the river in a kayak - it was a wow moment. Great video, the drone footage was an exceptional touch.

Jim Baichtail is awesome, funny, entertaining, and a great teacher
  • Your attitude won the hunt, especially fighting the elements, your age shows your experience, beautiful.

It was the blue clouds ☁️ 💙 that brought the bison to you 😊 CONGRATULATIONS IMPRESSIVE SHOT AFTER YOUR SHORT JOG 👍

The cinemetography was excellent and really captured the sense of remoteness. Jim's sense of humor and humility are a bonus for sure. I was wondering "how is one (or two?) people going to clean and carry out hundreds of pounds of meat? ", when all of a sudden all these folks showed up out of nowhere :-). Amazing. I never knew there was a such thing as a "wood bison", let alone in Alaska.

Nice shot on the run, and a good follow up. I try to limit my running offhand shots now but there was a time as a mountain hunter you took all you could get; I still appreciate a fella who knows how to make it count. Well done!
  • Congrats on a great bull! And from one of only a couple free ranging herds in the U.S. Not some canned ranch hunt.

I love the Yatahey yell! That 180 E tip sure did the trick. What an epic adventure.

What a dream of a hunt. Although, I gotta say I'd rather have watched you do that with your old Hawken! Congrats! That's one hunt that very few will ever be able to say they did.

Wonderful 3 Part Series. I've known Jim since 1984 and you won't find a more talented, smart, and down-to-earth dude. Great sense of humor too! (FYI. "Ya-ta-hey" in Navajo essentially means "It is good.") Congrats Jim...
  • Thank you for taking us along on this adventure. Congrats on a fine Bison.
