I have used a Wacom pen tablet for several years now and as a teacher I would not be able to teach without it. Love Wacom!
  • @wiseacredave
I use a Wacom tablet every day to teach math virtually for my GED classes. The tablet makes it so easy and efficient to annotate on slides, a web browser page, an online whiteboard--whatever.
  • @gregaudio
I have heard a lot about Wacom products over the years, but never really thought of using them as a tool for my classroom. Thank you for this video presentation!
  • My students would love to use this on their Chromebooks when using the Wacom instead of the touchpad on their Jamboard assignments. Thanks, Sam.
  • Thanks for showing us how to use the one by Wacom tablet. I draw a lot when I teach, and this can make my remote classes feel even more like a in-person class!

Just learning to use this with my elementary class this year. They get a real kick out of my "terrible" penmanship or funny looking drawings. They are really sweet however and do point out to me when I have improved! LOL

Thanks for all the work you invest into providing quality resources, Sam! I teach at university, but I've been able to adapt lots of the tools and techniques you've shared in my online and face-to-face classes, including using Nearpod and Peardeck last semester. I have a Wacom and have used it and other drawing tablets in the classroom and in creating teaching videos for years. Helps me slow down so students and I are writing at the same pace. Plus, students for some reason are conditioned that if a student writes something down in their own handwriting, then that thing must be super important. So they write anything down that I write. 8-)

Thank you for showing how to use the Wacom Pen Tablet. I see so many uses for it as a Virtual teacher. I purchased one earlier and had a lot of trouble with the calibration of it. I’m going to try the Wacom now.

I need a Wacom tablet for my virtual teaching. It’s so hard sometimes to use the computer mouse to write on the screen while on zoom. This Wacom tablet and pen will help SO much!!!
  • @StevePulido117
The Wacom is like having a toy and a working tool in the same place. Or at least for me, I am passionate about drawing and coloring hehe
  • @teachertechfred
We purchased Wacom One's for our 12th graders this year and it has been so popular(with students and teachers) that we are making it mandatory for all students to have one for the coming!!!! Love Wacom!!!
  • @amynavo5969
Wow-- I had not heard of Wacom before this. I am travelling between 4 schools this year to teach carrying my classroom on my back. This would add a lot of possibilities for me but I would love to get my students working on it. Way to go Wacom.
  • Hey everyone, I said in the video that the tab should be aligned on the left-hand side, but I meant to say "right-hand side." Sorry about any confusion!

Wacom Tablet is the solution for learning the Chinese language. Especially great for fist time Chinese learners to try how to write words.
  • I just finished my Do More With Google Jamboard Certification "Ditch That Textbook", today to use Jamboard in my 7th Grade Social Studies. I will now purchase the Annotate.net because I will be able to use Wacom to Annotate on the Jamboard with Wacom. Wacom will allow real-time Annotation on lessons/ Instructions. It will also allow my students to interact with informational Historical Texts. I can't wait!
  • @whitehuggywuggy
Jamboard will not be found on December . Are there alternatives? Whiteboard work with Wacom ? Is openboard useful?
  • @rdumiak
Thank you for the presentation on Wacom and your use of a variety of pen-enabled software. BUT tried using the Wacom Intuos last year for virtual teaching and it takes a lot more "practice" to avoid the "jagged" lines, "disconnected" circles and just overall "neatness". Even after practicing, the quality is still not anything near whiteboard quality. In the end, I framed a custom cut piece of plexiglass in front of the webcam and just use it as a "lightboard" with neon colored markers. This solution does come with the need to learn OBS software to reverse the image, but it's so much more natural than using a tablet.

I love my Wacom Bamboo pen for my personal touchscreen PC. I teach sketchnoting to students in their notebooks through my DocCam. I would love to use a Wacom tablet for teaching sketchnoting.
  • I've always dreamt to have a Wacom tablet for my on-line lessons, and it would be the greatest gift to win it!
