I really like it that they made his background make sense to why he would have all that knowledge, he isn't one of those op genius kid mcs, but instead spent time and effort studying and learning those skills.

Ain't gonna lie this show was amazing no overpowered shit no massive destruction magic abilities they just kept it as simple as possible
  • I honestly thought this show would be stupid and another generic isekai. But these sorts of tactical anime are now an absolute favorite of mine.

Normal isekai: I'm given god like powers or technology. This one: By the power of economy and state management I hereby declare this the most epic game of Civilization 6! Now HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET A FREAKING NUKE?!
  • @PinkMawile
replacing a feudal power system with a bureaucratic one in one lifetime is a greater Isekai power trip than any other.

The second season where he narrates the harsh decision of the old philosophical saying, "Is it better to rule with love or fear?" was really good. I never thought of it as deeply as he did, but it makes so much more sense.

The Mc Literally Has Speech 80/100 Intelligence 9/10 Survival 60/100
  • I loved watching this anime because of the main characters intelligence, and that while he is a pretty good guy, when the time comes he has to make a big decision he doesn't pull out moral bullshit to avoid doing what needs to be done. To quote him directly: "If anything were to happen, and those who are dear to me, ended up getting hurt as a result, I don't want to ever regret thinking "I should have killed them when I had the chance."" Also his recruitment speech was of epic proportions.

Probably the best thing that I liked on this anime is the Book Quotes by Souma. I literally learned so many things on it.
  • When you think about it he has the most op power the ability to complete a shit ton paperwork and posses items is insane

Ngl I thought this was gonna be a trash anime but it actually got me hooked. I like the creative solutions souma comes up with to the world's problems
  • The forbidden army are mostly assumed as royal guards if you translate it in another way
  • I will assume the overly cautious hero and the realist hero are somehow related

This anime is like "dont judge the book by its cover."

This title is simping for Machiavelli the same way GATE (the LN) to right wing politics, Maoyuu to macroeconomics, Spice and Wolf to microeconomics, Cells at Work to microbiology, and Dr. Stone to science invention.

Seeing as how this isekai world is similar to the one in Rise of the Shield Hero, I wonder what would've happened. If this guy landed in that world instead, along with the 4 others?
