The hotel looked fine to me. As long as things are clean and tidy. You had a TV, a mini-fridge, a desk, and a/c.

22 years after separating from Indonesia, East Timor is on the list of the poorest countries in the world (World Bank 2023). What is happening currently in Timor Leste. 1. Most of the necessities of life are still imported from Indonesia. 2. Natural oil resources are increasingly depleting. 3. Low quality of human resources. This results in this country being unattractive for investors and far behind other countries in the ASEAN region

Nice bit of nostalgia for me..... one small point: the island you point out at 20:27 is actually Atauro, which is not Indonesian, but part of Timor-Leste. Great island to visit.

It looked not too bad. A little rough but not bad. The people were friendly. The airline was basically economy. The beach at the end looked beautiful. The hotel was pretty nice.
