Let your gelatin "bloom"...meaning put in about half cup water n set for 5-10 minutes. It will absorb the water on its own...then mix into the rest of the water/liquid. Thanks kamon!
  • Thanks for sharing! I’m always tweaking my pollen supplement recipe. I enjoy experimenting with different mixtures and ingredients. Happy Beekeeping

Great recipe! Got in my hives today here in middle tn after a week of snow cover in single digits & 3 days of rain & found way more bees than I had just 3 weeks ago. I might need these patties sooner than later. Thanks & keep on keeping on

I'll echo exactly what Cade mentioned in his comment. These patties are super simple to make. The texture is excellent making it easy to handle and shape. I've got lots of splits and a cell builder going and all the colonies are gobbling up these patties.... Best part of all is I'm not seeing an increase of hive beetles!!

Thanks for sharing. Just got through making some and I'm really pleased with the way they turned out. Now to see what the bees think of them.
  • This is a great recipe, Kamon. I’ve made it a few times now in half batches and my bees love it. Like you said, it’s got a great consistency. Thank you for all that you share with us.
  • Mixed up my first batch for some thin splits today and just put it on. got a cold weekend coming, so this should be great for them. Thanks for the help.
  • On behalf of everyone not needing bulk amounts of pollen patties,ie small beekeepers, thank you for sharing this recipe!! I'm going to be passing this along!

Thanks so much. You are the closest Youtuber farmer with bees to me. Recipe @ 4:01 to 4:06. Though I don't ascribe to all of your methods you have helped me immensely. None of the things you have told me that I tried has ever caused me problems. I wish I could say that for everything I have watched or read. As a beginner hobbyist for the past three years I have learned the hard way about " touching the stove to see if it is hot ". I hope to have enough colonies to be able to experiment in the next few years. I have learned that Middle Tennessee is a tough area to try all natural, no feed no treat, beekeeping. There is a reason why I don't see bee trees all over like I did 35 years ago. I attribute the need to feed to habitat loss. It has been proven that bees can achieve the ability to survive varroa viruses but i am not sure wild hives can ever overcome small hive beetles. Thanks again for keeping all beekeepers in your thoughts and sharing with us. May God continue bless you and your family.

Scale and mixer here: www.amazon.com/shop/tennessees-bees Patty with syrup recipe: https://youtu.be/46QNmHh1XTg With the NEW 40lbs bag price on ULTRA BEE the patties are running a little more than a dollar a pound now Put cling wrap on top until you are ready to use them. We are testing storage times right now and will have a video on that soon. Fresh is always best but not always practical!

I’ve found making the Pattie’s up right when I use them to work best. If premade they can dry out, so keep the bulk in the big bag in fridge and your good to go. Thanks for much for this. We are looking to keep bee in good health on a budget 🌼🐝🌼

I like the format of the video with the voice over. Thank you for your continued contributions to the community.
  • @caderector3456
This is a cheap and easy recipe. My bees love these patties way better than the store bought version. Thank you Kamon

As always you have great timely information! Your season is ahead of ours up north so provides us with a good "reminder" to start our preparations or gather the materials needed.
  • @wwoutdoors7300
My bees finally calmed down after bear attack. It destroyed the top box but didn’t get the queen. Thank god. It took two 1/2 months. But I went into them yesterday. No strings. Two weeks ago you couldn’t get close to it. They were still mad. They happy again. 👍👍
  • I watched this video and then replicated it with awesome results. I'll put on all the hives very soon. Thanks!!
  • @CastleHives
Looks like a great Pollen Patty. Thanks for sharing. My plan this season is to supplement at key times in the year to promote build-up and hopefully allow for expanding my Apiary.
  • @628DirtRooster
That's a recipe we need to try. Our last batch came out really dry and hard.
  • @mattsara2802
Thanks for this. This will help us grow fast but saving money.
