I am a huge Haunted Mansion fan and coincidentally I just saw this movie! I caught some of these references but I can’t believe how many there are and how many you guys caught. You guys are awesome lol!

the Mariner is also a callback to an original ride idea that was pitched for the Haunted Mansion, but eventually scratched.

You missed the doors as well. In the ride and in the movie, the doors sometimes expand out towards you like it's made of rubber and something is about to burst through it. And then there's the bell reference that leota sites in the ride when she says "Wizards and witches wherever you dwell, give us a hint by ringing a bell." They used the bell when Ben was in the paranormal world to bring him back. And then the trees with scary faces that come to life in the yard and try to get the trio when they escape to Crump mansion are a reference to the trees you see in the ride with scary faces and branches that look like they're reaching for you.

You missed the Rolly Crump chair aka the Face Chair. In the movie it is in the seance room, but in the ride it's next to the Endless Corridor. Also there's the Hatchet Ghost from the Corridor of Doors as seen in a series of portraits in the movie. The raven, which was an important character in the Haunted Mansion record album from 1969 and is seen throughout the ride, is also in the movie. The portrait of April December is the one behind which is the tunnel to the seance room. I'm sure there are more, as I've only seen the movie once (so far), and there's so much detail! Thank you for this video! Hurry baaack!

There are much more subtle Easter Eggs in the movie too. For example, in the very last scene of the dining room party, the image slides to the right with a black color filling the frame to replace it. This is very similar to how the same scene in the ride leaves our view, as the ride vehicles travel to the left and the view of the dining room disappears to the right from the rider's point of view.

Dont forget about Rolly Crumps chair that Ben sits in while in the seance room
-
I loved catching the easter eggs on opening day, my favorite ride
-
My favorite movie of the year
-
Good movie! Sad that they pick the worst time to release it, I love the ride and want more Haunted Mansion films to explore the lore and even other mansions like Phantom Manor
-
I had already realized most of them, but thank you for this video. I absolutely loved that movie too !
-
Can’t believe you caught all of these! Great video!

You missed so much. The wall paper being the biggest detail, the doors, the queue rope at Crumps house, the big painting to Leotas room to start.
-
I love 💕 this reboot when, it has a lot of references to the ride in Disneyland.
-
Wow you guys really caught everything lol

At the end when Ben returns to the house, one of the pumpkins 🎃 is carved with the famous Haunted Mansion wallpaper. And when they go to Crumps mansion and asking Winona Ryder’s character about the cane, you’ll see a haunted ghost bride bust that’s sold at Michael’s.

At the climax when the Hatbox Ghost is tempting Gus at an open grave , it reminded me of the Phantom at the Phantom Manor when he laughs maniacally standing next to an open grave.
-
I'm impressed 👍.
-
Hope it counts 🤣 but the spell in the final battle has most of the ghost host says in the beginning of the ride
-
You missed that the Disney World ride has a library like in the movie.💀💀

You guys are great! So many wonderful tidbits. The one I did notice that you did not point out, when you were referencing the chairs, is that Ben sits in the Roly Crump chair is a the top of the staircase in the ride, to the left of the entrance of the great hall where the floating candelabra is seen. You pointed out so many wonderful easter eggs. The film is a love letter to all of us "Haunted Mansion" ride, fans. I've seen it twice, and I'm going to go again. Thanks again, for your great video.
