Should The Book Of Enoch Be Included In The Bible?

Published 2021-11-29
The book of Enoch is not found in the standard christian Holy Bible. Because of this, I have received a lot of question about the book of Enoch. In this teaching, I will explain "closed canon of scripture" and why the book of Enoch is not considered as the inspired word of God.

  • I gave my heart to Jeans Christ in my house 🏡. And I went and got baptized. And am trying with all my heart to live for him. I’m a young child of God. Please keep me in your prayers. Amen

Brother Tiff, God gave you much wisdom and knowledge over the years. It was a privilege hearing your perspective! Clearly, you put significant time and dedication into researching this out for all of us. Bless this man, Lord! Like all information, including the Bible, I pray that you and all of us NEVER stop our search, even though we think we are done. Truth does not fear constant searching, especially beyond our own beliefs. In fact, Truth/God encourages us to unceasingly search and pioneer for new truths. "Knowing" God's Word & Will is an infinite process. I came closer to knowing God today because of all your hard work, Tiff. Thank you.
  • The [LAST] chapter of Revelations [ADVISES] that we [SHOULD NOT {ADD OR TAKE AWAY} from the Bible. For [ME], that settles it. God bless

I tried reading enoch and then got to a part where it said to ascribe all sin to a fallen angel. Said "nope" and put it away.
  • I have always wondered why Enoch wasn’t included. Thank you for this teaching.

Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. KJV
  • Wow!! This answers so much, cause I've been wondering about this for awhile!!
  • @ChadShotgunApe
I have been thinking about this for a few days it will be good for me to learn about this.

Actually, I don't think this was so clear. I would have liked to hear more about the firm criteria for inclusion. Besides that, isn't the warning at the end of the book of Revelation specifically about the book of Revelation? It was not put in the Bible then and there. Of course I do not mean you should add or take away from any other Bible book, but this is not a good argument against a certain book.

Pastor Tiff, thanks for your teaching on this. The clarification of this truth of will set believers free.

  • The book of Psalms states my transgressions are as the hairs of my head. If I take ths litterally that means I have less transgressions than I used to as I have far less hairs on my head than years ago.
