great video, I might have to stop by Kreuz next time I go to Barbs
  • Kreuz Market is very legit and ROY is genuinely one the nicest people I met in Lockhart💯💯.Nice cook brother👍🏽
  • Looks good Dave! I was surprised to see you at Chud's here in town. You should have had a bar meetup for some US fans. 😄
  • Used to live in Austin and I would drive to Kreuz as often as possible for their chops. Damn delicious

Looks great! Definitely going to try this. Any thoughts on resting / holding it for a period after?

Great cook Dave, looks superb, Kreuz is definitely on the list for the next trip!

Will definitely be trying this. Did your pork shoulder chops the other day you did ...excellent.

Haven’t been Kreuz and didn’t know they had a pork chop, but we went to Burnt Bean and they had the exact same on the menu. Best pork chop I’ve ever eaten and can’t stop thinking about it.

I live very close to the place you visited. Thank you for your review.

Pork chops have become one of my new favorites to cook.. So affordable and delicious. Good call on smoking a loin, definitely will be doing this with the family soon!
  • Yeah man, I agree with a slow smoke for sure. I don’t like to take internal past 140°. If you really want to have a good time with that cut, mince a ton of garlic and rub the outside with your seasoning, fresh minced garlic, and thyme. It’s a party.

yep doing that soon. thanks for the video. THUMBS WAY UP!!!

Kreuz bbq was awesome in their old location on the square. The new place is just a big brick barn and while the food is good, it’s nothing like what is was on a cold weekend in the winter, get warmed up by the pits as you picked your meats and then sat down to eat in the dining area. Smitties still has some of that vibe though not sure the Q is as good.
  • Can you please post a link for the brining tub. I definitely need one. Thanks love your vids keep up the good work 👏
  • The next time you come to Texas, go try try Cooper’s big chop. You may like it more.
  • Pork loin has been one of my favorites for a long time. It is so hard to mess up a smoked loin. I've never tried bone in though, so I'll put it on the list.
