How much wildlife have we lost? #LivingPlanetReport

Published 2022-10-12
The Living Planet Report 2022 is a comprehensive study of trends in global biodiversity and the health of the planet. This flagship WWF publication reveals an average decline of 69% in species populations since 1970. While conservation efforts are helping, urgent action is required if we are to reverse nature loss.

Biodiversity loss is not only an environmental issue, but economic, development, security, social, moral and ethical issue too. Industrialised countries are responsible for most environmental degradation but it is developing nations that are disproportionately impacted by biodiversity loss. We all have a role to play in building a nature-positive society that safeguards the planet for the good health of everyone.

It is so sad we killed a lot of animals that has a bad impact on our eco system 😢
  • I know it's too late, basically irreversible.. But I'll make the most of my time being here on Earth to at least delay this disaster and contribute whatever I can.. 🌍🌏🌎
  • We must change all human society to be totally conscious of nature or soon it will be 100%.

I’ve said this before, and I’m gonna say it again, a world without these incredible being is unimaginable, we all have seen how important they are to certain ecosystems, and yet we continue to destroy their habitats, poaching still continues, climate change, and we have severed our connection with nature, but it’s not too late yet, if we take action now, wildness and beauty will to continue to thrive, after all, i can hear the whole world saying “We’re in this together.”
  • We need to promote this! For example, we can work together with our local city government to cover our houses and high buildings with greenery like ivy, moss, and so on, so birds have shelter and humans have fresh air to breathe.
  • An important video thanks for sharing! There's still so much to learn and respect with the planet's wildlife and environment. In 2020 there was a study done on the hibernation from bears for example and there's been more recent coverage on the possible learnings/implications for humans on topics such as minimising muscle atrophy.

You guys are doing great. Keep going and don't give up. Spreading awareness is the key to turning this crisis around and saving the planet and its beautiful animals. Keep fighting.

I like this type of small but very valuable video
  • Main reason no humans have holistic thinking about Earth but provides solution with limited knowledge of their thought through profession. Specifically, engineers who move the world are without ecological knowledge. Even environmental engineers are focused on making urban better compensating the nature for their benefits.

Humans are crowding out all other species of plants and animals.
