Welcome Test Subject. This is a compilation of some of my previous videos. I asked in a poll if you'd like it and thought I would give it a go! I do have a huge timeline in the works on a different game that I am hoping to post in the next week or so. Rip and Tear.

Portal, in my opinion, has been one of the best series’ Valve has created, it has comedy and dark tones, a perfect balance.

I dosed off a bit while watching this, woke up to Dark Cave fighting against Cave over the moneyverse. Caught me Sevearly off gaurd

I really like how Doug is the one who says you can always ignore your conscious, but when Chell was being dragged in and he could have left the cube is the one telling him to leave. To ignore his conscious like Glados essentially. He instead still chooses to follow it and save her despite whatever it'd bring to him. Edit: I forgot to actually conclude my statement- I find this interesting because the cube becomes his conscious and guide essentially. So he's both following his actual conscious and disregarding his physical representation of one.

I’d like to thank you for your selfless brevity at the beginning of the video. No halfbaked quips no sponsors. Don’t want you to feel pressured to never do anything else for an intro but sometimes minimalism is nice!
  • I've played a lot of games, but both of the portal games are still in my top 10 easily. The atmosphere, mysteries, humor and nostalgia for a time I haven't lived in makes me start them up again every couple of years. I think it's awesome that you're still covering these older games as they truly are amazing and it's fun to see all the tiny bits of lore given to us tied together so nicely!
  • @LibbyB
Bloody hell sky I always listen to your lore and tid bits videos on the way to work but it doesn't take 3 hours to get there! You put in so much effort and it shows my man. Can't wait to start this one as soon as I finish today.
  • I love that half life and ports are set in the same universe. Didn’t realize until the credits song in the original game lol
  • @madladam
Portal and Portal 2 are my all time favorite video games. I've been playing them since I was four. I love the mix of compelling storytelling and intuitive gameplay. 10/10, would recommend
  • Rattmann's story is sad, yet beautiful. In a way, death would be a merciful fate, but seeing him living on to help chell from the shadows is wonderful. I think rattmann living in constant fear is also sad and upsetting... But, seeing how his morals and psychology works, he seems - in a way, like he isn't completely mad, but an empathetic heart broken man on the inside. His fortitude, his wit, and his growth can be felt through the comics, it gives necessary context, foreshadowing and backstory to the rat dens throughout the two games. All hail rattmann

This video always has finished when i wake up in the morning even if i didn't play it that night. It just turns on by morning and its always the last thing my phone plays before going into sleep mode.
  • @AnCapGamer
11:15 fun fact, this scene is the ONLY SCENE where a portal CAN EXIST on a moving surface. Literally anywhere else, a portal can not form/exist on moving surfaces!
  • @z00ro
how many times you can tell the same 10 min story in a video? Skyrionn: YES
  • Waited for this exact video from you, specifically, for the last [REDACTED] years. Thanks Skyrionn Sidenote : have you considered doing a Hades (the video game) lore ? I think there's a lot to explore.
  • @yoalyrodriguez94
This is going to get me through half the workday today and several more times in the future. Thank you so much!
  • @YeahJustAdam
Portal 2 is the first game my parents ever bought me and will forever hold a special place for it in my heart. It has not only nostalgic value but has overall formed my sense of humor and set the standarts of games i would later go on and play. Truly a masterpiece a will never forget.
  • @vxnished99
