As an accountant, I can't help but run the numbers. If the owner paid $100 a month for 35 years, that $42,000 just for storage costs. It's so easy to get a unit and suddenly it's 10 years later...speaking from experience. We had definitely paid more in storage fees that the value of the items we had in there.

Had to laugh when they didn't know who Rufus and Chaka Khan and Earth Wind And Fire were. It was a different time. No cell phones, not internet, no digital world at all. People still posted accounts in ledgers by hand or typewriter. Back then we actually needed more and more office space.

A few years back, My wife and I bought a unit in Nashville, which is about 140 miles from where I live. We found lots of great things, including a box with 70 indian head pennies from the late 1800's and some old silver coins from the same era. There was an old coat hanging across the arm of a chair in the unit. My wife found $2000,00 in the inside pocket of the coat. 20 One hundred dollar bills! Great day, great find, and a great adventure for sure.

This person was starting his life's journey and it was interrupted for whatever reason and someone could not let go of his things. Bless them.
  • The groups and records that Wade has never heard of - those are the valuable ones. He would be really excited if he knew what they were worth!
  • The Jeff Beck album could be worth some money. He just passed away suddenly after touring with Johnny Depp through Europe for six months. Jeff Beck was an incredibly talented guitarist.

“Blind Faith. Some if these Christian bands can do really well”. I nearly blew my coffee out my nose.
  • These units always make me sad thinking that someone paid for so long and then for whatever reason had to forfeit it. Whoever had this unit obviously had everything so neatly packed, so they cared for it at one time.
  • I feel my 61 yrs when I recognize so many of those Albums🤣👍
  • @burroalley9
Wade! Blind Faith is NOT a Christian band.....Eric Clapton was in it, as was Stevie Winwood and Ginger Baker. It was one of the first Super Groups! You Oregon kids crack me up!

Hi Wade, I've watched you for a while but never commented. However, I was SCREAMING at the tv while you were going through those albums, lol! Like, coming up off the couch with OMG that's PETER FRAMPTON, lol! JEFF BECK!, Emmylou Harris! Seriously, I'm going crazy here...

It seems like this person lived a badass life.
  • Another great unit. Glad to see Holden. Can’t wait to see the rest. ❤️❤️
  • @farcuf
Beautifully stored, someone took good care of their stuff.....
  • @bodeandigs
Most every Record Album in that 1st box are classics. Many Legends in that collection. Unbelievable Collection and very well kept.

To Wade, everything is "Vintage or Old School." NOT!!! All the needlepoint pictures are probably not worth a lot, but some of those other ones could be worth a lot. The Brother typewriter is so neat. All that stuff wrapped in newspaper.......why are you not checking for dates on the papers? Earth Wind and Fire, is a great group. I saw them in Philadelphia back in the 60's I would say.
  • That John Coltrane unopened could be a nice find. So much good music in those boxes. Good stuff. The "horses" was a Bob Seger album.
  • @bllrdtm
@25:18 Wade those are vintage Tony Lama boots. If we can figure out from what year. Those alone could possibly pay for your entire unit and then some. Tony Lamas are a fairly expensive boot in today's market.
  • Good to see you again. Got a lot of help. When you get excited you suck your breathe in deep. You might pass out . Shouldn't do that. Stay well. Hi Ashley. See ya soon.
