Technically Nagato is a distant cousin of Narutos, so actually Naruto did hit his relatives.

Don't forget that they changed Minato's appearance between Naruto and Shippuden. In Naruto, the only similarities between the picture of him that we see and his actual self is that they both have blond hair and blue eyes. Other than that Minato's face looks completely different from how he looks in Shippuden.
