This young woman at 15 yo is already a consummate performer. Even though Emma has the capacity to completely power through these songs, she is more interested in balancing that through her interpretation and emotional connection to the music and lyrics. A true artist, not just a singer.

Wow .. mon ami Léonard Cohen aurai ete fier d'entendre sa chanson avec cette voix... simplement celle d'un ange! Je suis sûr qu'il m'aurai dit que a l'époque j'en avais aucune idée mais j'ai écrit cette chanson pour cette jeune fille....alors bravo! d'un nouveau fan de Montréal.

Emma not only sings the song, but also tells the story. She knows exactly what it's about. The singing performance is already perfect and knowing what they are singing about completes the performance! She sings with her heart. The feeling of the song is perfectly interpreted by her and that makes her so special. And if you have watched and listened to several performances of Emma, she knows the meaning of all the lyrics. truly a diamond!

She just seems like such an old soul singing. Would never ever guess she was a teenager when singing. She has the professionalism and cadence and demeanor of a seasoned professional.

Just yesterday I saw her perform this with just a piano accompaning and she looked much younger. I thought it was excellent, but this version shows how much she's grown. I think the key here may have been lowered to get back into her best range. Since seeing her do Voila I have been obsessed with her. In an increasingly frightening world, she is what we all need right now.
