The Davos Summit of the World Economic Forum (WEF) draws a lot of attention every year. Started by German engineer Klaus Schwab, the WEF the stated mission to "engage business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.” It's no wonder there are a lot of conspiracy hypotheses about the real motivations of such an organisation. But despite their image as the club of the wealthy elites, the reality is much less sinister, but could somehow be worse than the conspiracy theories about lizard people...

The idea of rich people coming together to discuss world economics and their plans for it is far more terrifying than lizard people.
  • @Artak091
The WEF literally said "youll own nothing and be happy", so its safe to assume they dont have our best interests in mind when they want to make it inposisble to own a home or vehicle.
  • @killswitchfate
People who spend their wealth to escape reality deciding what reality should be like for those that havent escaped reality
  • @FernandoPerez3h
They gather to discuss inequality and ecology, despite arriving in polluting private planes and providing no financial support to the poor.
  • @cybtb
Unelected rich elites telling us what to do and heavily influencing our politics. What can go wrong...
  • @ZappyOh
Davos is a flex. Showing us they don't care what we think.
  • @lordbertox4056
As a swiss I still don't get why the wef is the biggest yearly deployment of our army (which also completely disrupts local life and business). It's a private forum of some of the richest people in the world and we still have to pay the bill for it
  • @arnautbilly6729
They gather every year to make the same observation: "we don't understand ordinary people".
  • @lajya01
I've seen so many politicians come back from there changed for the worst. Switching from their actual political platform to a totally different agenda far from what people elected them for. I don't think WEF is "evil" but there's definitely fishy stuff going on there that isn't good news for populations.
  • the WEF and Davos have become the personification of the elite of the elite people who genuinely do believe they are better than everyone else, it also doesnt help for pr when the founder genuinely looks and sounds like a sith lord
  • @Post_and_Ghost
I like that YouTube added a context label on this video and it’s flat out false. lol. They publicly say what they are doing, why, and their future plans.
  • @adamlee2550
In the UK we have a majority of the population who believe immigration of all kinds is too high and yet, instead of actually working to solve this issue, our politicians go and rub shoulders with industry-leaders at Davos whilst delivering false platitudes to the citizens who suffer at the end of their policies. It is already shown clearly that you have to be very, very rich in order for your policy positions to be reflected in the government. So why come up with crazy conspiracies when the truth is already bad enough?
  • @corujariousa
What can go wrong when elites funded by special interests get all together in closed doors meetings? Does anyone believe those people, and large corporation representatives, discuss how to lose their elite status and what actions they can take to compromise their interests for the betterment of society?
  • @tinabraxton4906
Not plotting. They are actually doing it. One of many arms of the wealth class.
  • @KitsGravity
I was aware that it is basically just a networking event. My wife works for a lot of FMCG clients and they have meetings like these any given Tuesday (on a much lower scale obviously) to talk about useless stuff when in reality they really are networking events behind the closed doors.
  • @icupnibba3533
Lizard people is a strawman. You know very well most people dont actually think they’re lizard people. There are very real concerns about the goings on in Davos that should concern regular people and it has nothing to do with farout stuff like that.
  • @Dats_Mark
It really doesn't help that Klaus Schwab sounds like a stereotypical supervillain with both his accent and some of the things he actually says.
