I've had so much fun experimenting with concrete and cement lately, but this fun concrete fountain might just be one of my favorites. I made a similar-ish fountain years ago but used a plastic globe as my mold... not very easy to come by. But now, I've found this readily available mold from Amazon and it made this project so much easier: amzn.to/3fP8Co4

    Much easier to spend $2 on a rubber ball and just cut a hole in the top, add concrete mix, insert tube, let dry 24 hrs and voila remove rubber ball from concrete and your done. Just add pump and water tubing!!! Super easy!

    Applying concrete stain is a great way to resolve colour differences in unfinished concrete.

    Just a quick tip if you dont want larger aggregate, use a non shrink grout mix insted of a concrete mix. You can also mix in a pigment if you want to color it.

    I used a video I found on YouTube from Lowe's. They used a glass light globe and filled it with concrete with a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe in the middle. When the concrete dries, you just have to break off the glass. That part is a little tricky, but it came out textured. I've had the concrete globes for about two years.
