20 year retired vet and never thought I'd see trench warfare in my lifetime.
  • @remedy-1879
I’m an Iraq vets. Seen enough combat to understand that trenches are a whole different beast. I had good gear, vehicles, air support, logistics and intel. These guys just have balls. Well done.
  • It sounds like he just ran a marathon, I can't imagine the adrenaline and emotions this guy has flowing through him
  • This ain't CoD, Battlefield, Squad or ArmA.. that is real life. Real humans, families, real fear and danger.. and this dude is a real bad ass.

Even the soldier doing all the fighting admits he would not have made it without the other guy. The other guy had a concussion/shell shock (nearby strike by artillery) and it was his first day in a trench. Main soldier gave orders and asked for things. Dude did his best and did what he was told. Soldiers cannot fight without logistics, in this case there was a soldier with a personal logistics guy. The soldier was able to fight with the ferocity of a whole squad because of the teamwork. Had the Russian's realized there was only 1 person fighting them in that trench both soldiers would have died.

Saw an interview with the guy doing all the firing here. He had someone above with a drone giving him intel the whole time and they were fighting off about 12 Russians who arrived in an armoured vehicle. His tactic was to keep changing weapons so the Russians assumed they were up against a larger squad than 2 and therefore storming the trench would not be feisable. Also, it was the first day on the frontline for the guy doing all of the reloading and he was absolutely terrified but just executed the orders and did an incredible job because they would have been overrun otherwise.
  • I was in Iraq and Afghanistan. Let me tell you, this dude is an absolute unit. He straight up said "Not today" in a situation where he had to win.

The name of this guy is Ruslan Zubarev, call sign Predator. He’s 21. Awarded with golden cross for this fight that took place near Svatove. He burned a Russian IFV and shot several paratroopers that day, one of them seen in the video. The other guy was shell-shocked and it was his first day on the front line. The attack was successfully repelled. Fun fact: the hero’s dream was AR-15 rifle, but in Ukraine you cannot buy rifled guns until 25yo. So he was also awarded with AR-15 as a personal weapon.

Now I see why soldiers come home with PTSD. They both are so brave.
  • @Marvin-xm3qs
This dude is so clever. He fires all different weapons, switching them every few bursts to let the enemie think there are more then 1 or 2 soldiers.
  • @maxine0047
I am surprised how calm and collected these soldiers are even after risking their lives to fight for their land. Well done, a good very well done indeed!
  • @APhotoOfMyDog
For people questioning the second man's bravery, he is a loader and even if he is "more protected from enemy fire", he is still at the same risk of dying, a brave man indeed aswell! 🇫🇮🇺🇦
  • @seargantmagor
I feel so sorry for the loader. He looks like an older man, likely worked a simple life before mobilization. He possibly knows that he isn't the most effective soldier, but still finds room to be useful. Under so much stress, Ukrainians prove to have the will to get things done. Very good teamwork to the both of them, and I wish them good fortune in the days to come.
  • @Isa_AlKubi
both soldiers should be awarded with the medal of big balls aka Герой України ( Hero of Ukraine ) .
  • @edgarg4848
For people who have never experienced being that close to death will never understand how awful that feels
  • I saw an interview with this soldier. He is experienced and cool. And for his loader, this was the first battle. He is a civilian who got into the army on mobilization.
  • These guys were literally fighting for their lives. That was the most telling video of what real close quarters combat is like. Savage
  • @countsmyth
I shed tears for Ukraine. A strong nation, fight for your homeland best wishes from Ireland.
  • @arrow-lo7jf
The man handing him those weapons is just as brave and should be retired, bless both, they are real heros.
  • He tells in his telegram that his comrade in the trench was suffering from shell shock and did a great job still to provide him with everything he asked of him…you could only hope to be able to step up and perform like this if it is called of you…’if your going through hell….keep going’🇬🇧🇺🇦
