By far, this has been the most comprehensive and helpful video that you guys have put together for the general public. Good job! 👏🏻

Goals!! 🙌🏻 I love seeing how involved your kids are in the process. Bella is so knowledgeable! 😊

My grandparents warmed their house using wood from the outside and it came into the house. I remember!
  • @user-gh3di2rc3o
you could put a chain link fence around the wood burning stove.

I’m glad you have a nice community to barter with! Knowledge is power! I hope you have abundant harvest this year!
  • @donnacross7953
Just amazing what y’all do! Plus teaching your children to do this as well.

Such a good video! From Bella discussing the plans with the chickens, to gardening, being self sufficient, sources of food storage. Learning from others, resource info(ie books), or on your own is all good. Not being afraid to make mistakes is also how you learn. Love the bartering you do, not only to help you, but help others. Thank you for this video, and especially the time it took. This will help with my future!

My grandma had 10 kids starting during the war (1943, firstborn) up to a decade later. My mom grew up in a family with a smaller house and a big garden, and they had the same "principles" when growing up. Being resourceful is the best thing she has learned growing up. My dad is an only child, sent to boarding school as they had a grocery store at home, and boy does it ever show that he had no siblings! My mom can make stuff out of nothing (we have a shed full of supplies and things that we possibly could use and repurpose). My dad would throw money at everything (not that he does, mind you, but it's his mindset). My mom did her absolute best during 50+ years of marriage to slowly turn him around, but the man is stubborn! LOL I absolutely, dearly, love your family and how you tackle life.

Fantastic information. The knowledge that Bella has is quite impressive. Loving your channel.

Julie, I absolutely agree with what you said about people being afraid of doing something poorly. People have asked me how I know how to do things. I tell them I'm not afraid to try and mess up. This was a great video. A funny thing I thought of while watching this, I will sit through Temu ads for y'all! Lol! God bless your family. Thanks for sharing with us.
  • @AliceMara
Thank you for all the information! 😊 We are in the process of renovating an old house in Tenerife (Canary Islands) and create a large vegetable garden. We have 2000 m². So it's not big, but there are a lot of old fruit trees. You are very inspiring!

Excellent informative video. We live a ten minute walk from the city, have a back garden and are growing(sometimes not successfully) a few veggies and herbs, potatoes and carrots are always great. Did try cabbages but all I got was infested with caterpillars 🤷‍♀️. Bella is very knowledgeable and works so hard, she is a model for the younger ones. X
  • @edensgarden1775
Thanks for all the great tips. I just canned 12 pints of strawberries 🍓. Have a good week.
  • @Nussear25
I’ve been watching since you had James. This is by far one of the best videos you have done!! Thank you for summing everything up. We were tired o the Cornish Cross so we have gone to American Bresse!!
  • @lauraC1082
This was a great video, learning from others is how we learn.Knowledge is key and you both have it, I hope someday we get a book written by both of you.
