As retired ATC, I’d like to share some thoughts on SayIntentionsAI. It’s obviously still in early stages of development. More servers or more AI learning might improve response times. Still in the real world, controllers don’t always respond immediately, especially in busy environments. They have priorities and you might not be at the top of their todo list. It would be interesting to see how this will work in multiplayer situations. How many pilots can the AI handle? I sim exclusively on Xbox. I would definitely like to see this on Xbox at a reasonable price point. What’s reasonable, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Because of the limitations of Xbox, I usually don’t sim in multiplayer mode. For me, an ATC AI should give correct and logical control instructions. This is not always the case with the MSFS default ATC. Hopefully, this AI will improve on that.

Hoping they make it more realistic. As a pilot there are a lot of improvements needed. I’ve never been told to report on final without being approved to land or to report I’ve landed. Seems the AI doesn’t have visibility of where the aircraft actually is. Would be fun to play with but with the issues and cost I’ll wait for a bit. Thanks for the video!!

Great update. Appears expensive. Would pay same as Navigraph subscription. Am waiting for traffic injection, vectoring separation and speed restriction management. Most ATC SIM products say coming soon but none have shown product release. Also worth waiting to see what Asobo does with ATC in FS2024 . In meantime will stick with ATC SIM product . Also using current ATC product with FSI Panel which works when entering Simbrief flight plan. Works with FSIPanel for SIDS STARS and full flight plan. Hence more to consider than just individual ATC SIM product selection. Use Fénix with FSIPanel. Works very well. As said ATC vectoring speed and distance separation is next big step

Fab video. The future of ATC looks promising. The price encourages me to wait and see what MS2024, (and other ATC apps), bring to the table. Right now, though, my 'ears are pricked' because it includes VFR and is worldwide.

Very interesting video. I'd like to see a full-flight video to see how it handles it. I find the long pause in ATC replying a bit clunky sounding and I agree the price is steep. It prices me out of using it for now. (MooseP)

I was excited with all these upcoming ATC app for flight sim but the more I hear the less I'm impressed. The main problem is that ATC AI is not aware of what you are doing at any given point. ATC AI only responds to your input. In a closed circuit ATC should see you on downwind and give you the option to land on 27R without you reporting downwind. ATC should not ask you to report each leg of the circuit. Major problem that you can also access the active runway without explicit "Cleared for takeoff" which did not happen before you took to the runway and took off. IRL this could get you killed. ATC only said what you should do after takeoff to remain in the pattern. This is not clearance for takeoff. Also you were able to get pattern instructions while on the ground. Seems they thought you were on downwind. They are repsonsible not only to you but to other traffic in the area. So, for only $30/month you can get spotty and delayed responses that may or may not be correct. Not conducive to learning in any manner. For only $14/month you can have access to real humans on Pilotedge that are always aware of what you're doing and will correct you when you're wrong. Great learning tool and available from morning to midnight. I'm no longer excited about all these AI ATC options as they are right now. Maybe they will evolve to come close to real human intelligence and flexibility soon. Looking at BeyondATC but not sure it will do any better.

Great idea but as you mentioned the pricing is insanely high and will be a major obstacle for many simmers. Even the 24 hour freebie, really isn't long enough to get to grips with it.

The fine people on VatSim can learn a thing or two from this AI about annunciation and not talking too fast. It's like they're in a speed-talking contest.

If Im not mistaken, did this not originally release for GA only? From what Ive gathered, I understand it will work on full commercial airliners and IFR flights. Is this correct?

The price is really high compared to what Beyond ATC will be. I think it's better to save your money and see what these other developers come out with in the very near future.

Great video! Really shows the capabilities of this ground breaking ATC technology! The level of immersion and flexibility of this product cannot be matched by anything on the market! I now cannot fly in MSFS without Say Intentions! Of note also is the developer is 100% committed to lowering the price as the cost of AI technology trends downward! In the meantime with get the most accurate and immersive ATC for our favorite flight sim! Thanks for this review!!!

I will be trying this, but it is way too expensive for me. I had trouble finding the price, but when I did, I was shocked. I understand that they are using other AI that they have to pay for, so as a result, they have to charge a monthly fee but I am retiring in a few days and this is not another monthly bill I can afford. That aside, it obviously is in early development but has enormous potential if done right. I am disappointed that I won't be able to use it because it's something I have wanted since back in the day when I was playing MSFS on my Commodore 64.

I think I shall wait until MSFS 2024 releases to see compatability before I invest much more in MSFS 2020 Addons
