When they talked about stepping back into time, I was reminded of the Amtrak depot in downtown Memphis, August '09. It was just an office and a platform but when you set foot in there it just WREAKED of the past! Nothing antiseptic about it. But speaking of ice cream, we had the Buffalo ice cream shoppe here in Chicago. Tin ceilings, tile floors, round tables and wire chairs, huge bar.

i used to go there a lot when i lived in philly. it’s such a lovely place. and they have the best ice cream & soda in philly!

Nardinis Ice Cream parlor in Largs Scotland is the greatest traditional ice cream bar on earth. Them Italian-Scots sure know how to make ice cream.

I was just there over the weekend and got the Mt. Vesuvius and the brownies were amazing. Wanted to try the purple cow but the girl there had no clue what it was. Still amazing ice cream.
