Fran Drescher is a LOT more than just an actor and a writer and executive producer. She also is a rape survivor. She was raped at gunpoint during a home invasion. She is also a cancer survivor. She was told from the start of her career, that she would never make it in Hollywood with her voice. If there is anyone who knows how to fight and survive, its certainly Fran Drescher.

She's the studious' worst nightmare: tough, smart, savy and one of the most recognizable people to ever be beamed into everyone's living room, for 3 decades.

Fran Drescher to me was The Nanny. Now she's a badass business woman that looks out for and cares for her union members. Go Fran!

Al Roker on the Today show said the average writer makes $27,000 a year. One writer had two shows to write on and a dog walking service to even make paycheck to paycheck. That’s terrible! One CEO said they all can strike for as long as they want. He was not budging. I know this will work out for those who are striking. They deserve to make a livelihood!

Simu Liu says “what people often don’t understand is your average SAG actor isn’t a lead on a TV show making whatever amount of money per year.” “They’re really going gig to gig & struggling & we need to make sure the industry conditions are such that they don’t get exploited.”

CNN, please use median and min/max when reporting income. When there is such skew/kurtosis in distribution, average are highly misleading.

What an amazing woman, well spoken, prepared, dedicated to serve and with the power of her own voice and name. My admiration for the amazing Fran Drescher.

I like how she has an answer for everything, its why people say they can see her with a future in politics.

I was about to say. I’ve been a member of SAG since 99…65K sounds high. Probably closer to 20K and we survive off felexible part time jobs. IE bartending, waiting on tables, security,Uber and now a lot more virtual remote jobs
  • @mvvpro8688
It's so disingenuous of the media to report an average that includes the millionaires at the top, while most actors have to wait tables to make a living and the people who sell their product are all millionaires.
  • @andrewwong8932
She acknowledge the part-time nature of most actors work

I'm a grip, IATSE 479 in Atlanta, Ga. and I'm with the actors and writers... Meet the crazy inflation, and no AI scans for free perpetual use.
  • @bluebellrose8
I'm so impressed with Fran Drescher! Who would have thought "The Nanny" would be so articulate, well spoken and knowledgable about the issues in the SAG-AFTRA strike? Well done:)
