Ariel lived in the underwater kingdom of Atlantic with her father, King Triton, her grandmother, and her six older sisters. The palace was a grandiose structure made from coral and pearls, glowing softly in the deep blue ocean. Despite the beauty and peace of her underwater home, Ariel felt a persistent longing for something beyond the ocean's horizon...
