My reservation was on 5/19/21, order on September 7th 2023, still waiting for my truck today, which is 4/22/2023
  • Man, where to start? I reserved 5/20. Was invited to order in April of 2022. Except I was not forking over Lariat money. Never mind Platinum. Ordered an XLT in August 2022. When I extended I must have selected XLT. So when I ordered in August I could only order XLT or above. XLT is was. Like it or not. It’s a real B that SO many people reserved, ordered and received their Lariat or Platinum way after I reserved. Catered to the rich people. I can barely fork out $60k for an XLT

The way Ford and the dealers treated me throughout this flipped me from that guy who didn't shut up about the electric truck I was so excited to buy even though I know paying 80k for the ER Lariat was a bit much for my finances to being so insulted I was getting calls with the "privilege to buy a SR for only $85k after the low dealer markup of $10k at the great interest rate of 8%" that I'm now both never buying a Ford again after being a fan for ages and will now be "that guy" who tells everyone to never buy Ford. They screwed this up so bad for the day 1 reservations.

Also, We juggling this limbo with the IRA Tax credit, If it doesn't get delivered before March 31, we may not qualify for a large percent of the rebate. That would make me pass on this purchase. We ordered XLT on the same day, but my build week is this week.

  • Looks like you won't be getting your truck after all 😩 "Ford halts production and shipments of its electric F-150 Lightning due to potential battery issue"
  • I'll have to disagree with your statement of 'if they advertise a truck for $40,000, and then 'don't make any of them'... is wrong. I am a PRO owner. 15,000 miles. and I'm not the only one. Yes, there are many fewer production of the PROs than any of us would like, but they have built PROs, no matter 'what' it may seem like to those who can not get one. I hate it for anyone who does, but the facts are the facts, and saying it as though Ford made none is completely false. Use the term 'few', if you must, but even that is a subjective term since you actually don't have data to support 'how few' you might be led to believe. The FLEET program will have many.
