  • Society has lied to us women for so long. It’s beautiful how many women are rediscovering how unique and wonderful being feminine can be. Your hair down is gorgeous btw.
  • @SVTV_SKITS
You’re not crazy, every single time I wear a dress, esp one that’s long and flow I instantly feel happier, more feminine more beautiful!
  • I started wearing dresses and skirts as much as possible within the past couple of months. I’ve always been a tomboy and never been pulled towards dresses. But I have two little daughters now and feel a desire to model femininity for them, especially in a culture where it isn’t cherished. It’s interesting how gentleness and peace seems to come from embracing the delicate and feminine.
  • I wear a dress almost everyday and there’s something about it that brings out the femininity within💗
  • As a Mennonite girl who’s worn dresses all my life, it’s so fascinating to hear the perspective of someone new to wearing dresses. Go for it Margaret! You looked lovely! I often have men open doors for me in town or people comment on my dresses.

Full time maxi dresses/skirts (even for winter and home improvement) has gotten me thru years of chronic illness. Not only comfort but feeling put together when I feel at my worst. Thrift store dresses with some high end jewelry feels pretty good. And yes, an interesting social experiment is how people treat you in public… excessively courteous, opening doors, approachable, unassuming, but occasionally underestimated (charging more at the smog check, etc). But mostly it just feels good… I don’t need to conquer the world anymore.

I always felt not put together and that my outfits never worked. I literally came here to see what’s missing. I always wanted to feel beautiful and feminine but didn’t. I tried skirts and blouses but they never fall “right” on me I’m taking the dress challenge starting today. Thank you for your video.
  • We wear dresses all the time ...i had someone say to me at Walmart...how can u wear a Dress to wal Mart 😊 my Girls shocked our neighbor when they wore dresses to horseback ride ....they could mount with such ease .its amazing what u can do in a dress... garden, milk a cow, mow the lawn ....everything thats all they wore 100 yrs ago.... i have men hold doors, ive had older men comment how good it is to see ladies w dresses on.God bless
  • @maryburch2432
I only wear dresses/skirts in public. The shortest are right above my knees. I own fewer clothes because of it. I always feel feminine, and I love that. I’ve been living this way for about 12 years.

I've slowly been transitioning to a dresses and skirts wardrobe. It will probably end up as a dress wardrobe. One thing that I've noticed is that over time I actually have become more comfortable in dresses than I am in pants. I grew up loathing dresses so that's a huge deal for me. Dresses are SO wonderful. I love layering things with them and have a few under skirts (cotton slips) with lace trim. It makes me so happy! Love this video!
  • I've worn dresses and skirts exclusively for 30 years. So comfortable , makes me feel like a lady, even at-home. I don't even own a pair of pants or shorts. I love your comments about your 5 year old son and the men opening doors. I had those EXACT experiences myself 30 years ago! My son was 5 too! 😁
  • Yes! Welcome to the dress club :D I would recommend investing in an apron for cooking or gardening to keep your dresses nice. That's something that works for me.
  • This summer I started looking for more dresses (exclusively thrifted) because you don’t have to decide on bottoms and a top. Minimalism! I love how feminine and pretty I feel in a dress and it’s so much cooler than pants or shorts. I love your dresses!!!❤️
  • I wear a dress almost every day because it's SO easy, comfy, and I always feel so put together in them! I do get a lot of annoying comments, though, like "wow you must have spent so much time getting ready today, I could NEVER," "look at you, you must really be judging me in my sweatpants," and "why are you so fancy today?" 🤦‍♀️ People don't get that dresses are literally just fabric you throw over your body like any other article of clothing.

I recently started wearing dresses more often and I noticed everything you did. You are not crazy. The clothes we wear affect our behavior and the way other people treat us. I feel better in a dress. Yesterday I almost wore jeans and a t-shirt so I would "look normal" while going to a class outing. I wanted to wear a dress because I like the way it feels and how it looks, but I didn't want to stand out and look "too formal." After trying on several outfits, mixing and matching with jeans and crop tops, I went with the dress. I wasn't comfortable in my jeans. Sometimes I feel great in jeans, but I'm tired of forcing myself to wear them so I'll "fit in" and "look normal" whether that's at work or school. When I put on that dress, I felt the change. I smiled and I felt pretty. I felt put together. I told myself that it wasn't my fault if I was the best dressed in the room, and it certainly isn't a bad thing. In the end, no one sneered at me, no one made a rude comment, and I ended the day feeling pretty and confident. If you want to wear the dress because it makes you feel good, wear it.
  • Don't worry about the minimalist astetic, i been a minimalist for 6 years now, my closet it's 90% dresses and my dresses have colour and patterns.
  • @JanaeCrawford
I feel the same way. I want to wear more dresses on a day to day. I definitely feel more “soft” and I realize I talk more calm and I’m less to get snappy or irritated at my children or husband simply when I wear a dress- it’s crazy but true. Thank you for this! This is my sign to wear more dresses 🥰
  • I feel the same way! I love wearing skirts and dresses in the spring, summer, and fall , but winter I have a hard time with because I don’t like wearing tights or leggings.
  • I wear dresses and skirts most of the time- all 4 seasons- comfortable and freeing-
  • I’ve been intentionally trying to wear more dresses lately! It truly does make you feel so much more beautiful, put together and just overall feminine. You’re encouraging me to do a 30 day challenge to only wear dresses!
