This man is one of the most talented musicians on Earth! They just don't make 'em like this anymore!
  • I have seen, Van Halen, The Who, The Stones, Ozzy, Def Leopard just to name a few, The Stage Show Triumph put on was by far the best I have ever seen. That Man, Rik Emmett is bar none, live, the best sounding guitarist of them all in my opinion...Wow was he great live!

Seen his little discreet shows twice.. the second time I asked his concert promoter  by email if he can sing Let Me Be The One for me and my fiance as I was going to purpose at the concert that night..and he DID!! My wife eyes were filled with tears...He doesn't like doing wedding songs but he did ti for us. I was really happy...class act guy!

Emmett's voice hasn't changed at all after all these years. I saw Triumph back in 83' US Festival....what a great show indeed.

God this man was my high school 82-86 a generation .. Man !! No one gives the whole band the credit !! Love them , bought every cassette , and album !! Love you rikk!!!
  • @bassmanjoe8
Rik always seemed underrated and never got the credit he truly deserved as a guitar player. Triumph was one of the best 3-man bands of its era.
  • @kellycoder100
He still has his voice, This guy is amazing!!!!!! Most guys loose their voices, not him. He's got it all.

I was at this show in Londonderry at the old Goose before the remodel...I even met & hung with Rik & Dave Dunlop...both fine men and awesome role models for a music career...even got both to sign my Ovation Accoustic I have at one of these gigs...my prize possession...

Rik Emmett, not only a Canadian eh, but great songwriter, excellent singer/vocalist, and in my personal Top 10 of fave guitar players.  Rock on Sir Emmett!!
  • @TIWICI
Rik's talents are SO underrated! He deserves more recognition than he's gotten, for sure! I've loved his music since around 1979, and yes, I loved the way he looked in that red jumpsuit!  LOL What girl didn't? ;-)  He's still the bomb, in my eyes! And has a great sense of humor!  :-)

Not only a great guitarist, but an unbelievable singer, as well!
  • @edbigtruck
Back in the early 80's as a teenager I use to drive my Guitar teacher nuts wanting to learn Triumph music. Rik Emmett is a Guitar hero to me...He has given me 30 plus years of enjoyment playing his music.
  • @squonk86
I used to love to go to Triumph's concerts when they first started out and always got up close too the stage, what great times and concerts

Super sweet soul does this man have! Met him doing a Yamaha clinic, saw him many times live yet never knew the man...enigma indeed. I believe he's an angel to teach us patience and what lies inside your soul...whatever that may be. His angelic presence lets us know that we're able to do the things we want to do in life. He inspired me to become a musician as well in the early 70's Blessed be he named Rik Emmett
  • @notacommie5415
That man has a lot of miles on those pipes. The fact he can still sing and needs to do it a whole step down to still hit the notes is testament to his badassery
  • @tlansing18
Man its just a beautiful thing that we have ALL OF TRIUMPH still playing and really keeping fans engaged !!
