Ultimate 1966 K-code HiPo in Sapphire Blue

Published 2021-03-26
Is this the ULTIMATE 1966 K-code (HiPo) ? It was special ordered in 1966 by a Santa Barbara, CA couple who initially were going to buy a 1966 Sapphire Blue SHELBY G350 and then opted instead to “order” to their exact specifications a GT K-code HiPo with all the options they wanted and in a color not offered in the standard lineup for Mustangs. Sapphire Blue is the color, and we think it’s absolutely stunning. After watching the video we think you will agree this ONE-OF-A-KIND 1966 Mustang checks every box.

This is THE MOST beautiful, stunning, and breathtaking Mustang Fastback I've EVER seen!! The new owner is one extremely lucky individual! :)

Absolutely Gorgeous Car! That color looks so beautiful! The sound of the high raving K-Code engine is amazing. When you say the K-Code engine is a different animal than the regular C and A Code 289s you really mean it... the regular 289s can't rev like that K-code. Gotta love that 289 sound...
  • Have to thank you for your content. Watched a 65-66 GT verification video from Myrod Classic Cars and it made me want to research the 65 Mustang nuances even more. I ended-up with a beauty of a 65 Fastback 2+2, 4 speed. Solid, great runner, few tweaks and I am winning awards at shows and having the best time ever driving it every chance I get.

Thank you sharing this beauty with us! Speaking on behalf of the internet community at large, you and your son's enthusiasm for these classic mustangs is truly second to none. Please keep up the outstanding work, hopefully one day some of us will be, too, in the market for a classic mustang! Cheers!

Thought I liked "Guardsman Blue" the best until I saw "Sapphire Blue." Lol, however, would have to check them side by side to be sure.

This is an absolutely stunning restoration of a rare Mustang. The only thing that doesn’t make this the absolute zenith Mustang is it’s an automatic. I understand that the automatic transmission was part of “any and all options” ordered with the car, but to make this car one tick below a GT350, in Mustang lineage, in needs the 4 speed transmission.

Saw a 2020 Gt 500 in the color. Love it more in a 66 tho

K-Code Fastback...wow! Love your channel! I own a 63 C2 Corvette and a 65 Ford Mustang Hardtop Coupé, a 67 Fastback is yet my dream though...thanks again, all the best for you! Best regards from Germany
