You don't need the sawmill/planks till after the first dry season, so you could have saved a lot of wood and built the big dam finished first. Place wood and food gathering posts at the top of the dirt stairs to the west that will let you collect all the wood and berries in that area. Also build multiple storehouses close to where your gathering food (berries and farms). With the explosives, you need a storehouse close to where you want them and make sure it's the only thing selected to store in there. Think they can only carry the explosives so far.

I can't help but think the explosives are for making the river bed deeper near the town so it lasts longer during the last dry season.

Maybe instead of using all 3 of your water pumps, you should alternate them. So maybe 1 going in the small lake, once that one is empty switch to the river...

This game gives me banished nostalgia

That was a good job Z... i watched Kibitz play this and he had only 1 beaver left at the end... can't wait to see the full game... 😁

Words of advice/suggestions from my own experience Z 13:34 there are already stairs to the north, why waste resources you don't have to. Stairs and the Forester REQUIRE planks which are made at the Carpenter which REQUIRES POWER. Water wheel or beaver wheel. Paths extend the range of builders and loggers and gatherers, maybe even farmers, so make paths everywhere. builders will work on them when there are no logs, which is often. make plenty of room for farming. think about where you're going to run the power from the water wheels, as the axles take up space. Carpenter, Cog workshop, Scientist hut(s)and other buildings can all get a boost from power, so maybe consider putting them near the water so it's easier to run power axles to them. No need for more than one connection per building I don't think, it doesn't seem to help much. You can NOT build a dam across the river before the first dry season unless you build nothing else; even then, it might not be possible, so my advice is don't try. blow the blockage and dam that, build your farm and berry bushes around that area (Forester can plant trees and berry bushes.) If you click on a gatherer/lumber/building hut, you can see the range of the building, beavers will not work outside of that range; increase range with roads, or build another close to the desired resource. Build more tanks and less water takers at first. 5 or 6 tanks per water well.
  • I agree with the comment below...banished nostalgia indeed! Once upon a time I used to get home after a shift of “wrangling idiots” at work and slowly get drunk. Now I put your videos on and laugh an awful lot......still drunk though 🤣🤣 Cheers Z.

For the second season best choice would be to add stairs into the blocked off moat then place tnt into the area to create a 1 tile deeper reservoir then remove the stairs and remove the blockage so you can maintain more water. Best way to build up the mountain is by irrigation.
  • @Sneeky_Smash
There is a dirt stair there already u don’t need a wood one to get to that wood
  • @FredRated1967
Speaking from the future, pathways no longer require wood.
  • @TheRojo387
The best wall to build is all levees save between two and four sections, which are dams.

It's funny how so many youtubers miss the beaver dam building aspect of timberborn, and they all say "Oh I see my problem was not building a dam, I dont know how I missed that in this beaver game" XD. When I saw this game my first thought was to flood the world with the worlds largest dam!

You can also change the work day by moving the red arm on the "day clock" @Z1gaming

I really like this game 😁 I played many times this demo. Every time trying new stuff. 3 most important things after building storage log ASAP are water pump than building dam and then farm for gathering food. After those things you can literally expand your beawer kingdom to entire map. I suggest extend working hours to 19 minimum. For better efficiency best is 21
  • Try building a 2high dam to the left on the river you will store more water 👍
  • The explosives are in his warehouse to the bottom. It is not covered by the range of the builder flag out to the west for some reason
  • @CyberGenesis1
I'm surprised (a little) that Z is playing this, this game has been in obscurity for a while. Game has come a long way since i first played the alpha like a year ago now
  • @MrJever180
i think it was a mistake to build a pump on the little watter resevour, you need it to have water for your food
