For more medical education videos for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, EMTs, or anyone else that is curious: Visit us at medcram.com/ We offer CME and CEs. Chronic hepatitis C also is associated with elevated interferon. Despite this, Interferon was used with Ribavirin for years to cure forms of chronic hepatitis C.

My husband contracted covid in April 2021, was put on a ventilator for 6 weeks, and discharged home from hospital 3 and a half months later. Although he is much better, he still experiences chronic fatigue, tinnutis, and GI symptoms. As a registered nurse, I appreciate well presented videos such as this one that may shed a light on treatment for long covid.
  • I asked my Long Covid Doctor at the University Of Iowa about getting tested for this and she said U of I does not offer it. I told her I would send this video to her so she can watch this.

I had Hepatitis C in the mid 1980's as a 24 year old, after a blood transfusion and was part of the groundbreaking double blind study using injectible Interferon to test its efficacy as a treatment. I received the largest amount of Interferon for 11 months. I now have undetectible amounts of Hepatitis C in my blood as a 63 year old!
  • Thank you. I'm a longtime chronic illness patient with multiple autoimmune disease diagnosed, including a rare neurological relapse/remit. I appreciate these updates bc they help keep me safe & connected with my physician + specialists, & Long C symptoms echo my own so I've no doubt I'll be benefitting from things learned from this pandemic. Thank you for helping me learn. I'm looking forward to updates on the next generation of flu + C shots, the ones they are working to release in the autumn with the advent of the flu season in the Northern Hemisphere.

Absolutely fascinating! Thanks for your great work, it’s people like you who restore my faith in humanity.
  • @shaniceervin1465
Why are us 20 years having such trouble with this though. Does this mean we are immune compromised or something?
  • @baileystruss7319
A similar thing is being studied by Ron Davis and Rob Phair re me/cfs and persistent INF elevation.
  • @BarbaraDettori
Very interesting. I'm not a health worker but I love all your videos. You have a true passion for scientific discovery. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your reasoning.
  • @timmyschannel5
Hey Dr. , so what can us long covid people do to help ourselves ? Do you do consultations?
  • Eat garlic, folks. Look up how garlic affects interferon in the body. The old-timers were right, they just did not know the scientific reasons why. If I have a stubborn cold, I make garlic tea, hold my nose, and drink it down. Positive results are almost immediate.
  • @diyeana
I'm in Healthcare IT and watch your videos to learn. Thank you.
  • @JimRyser
Saw that paper today. Looking forward to hearing your breakdown.
  • @Jordan-ql6tm
I'm far more interested in learning about the similarities to long covid and adverse reactions to vaccines?
  • When I got Covid I worked while I was sick as a solo lawn care owner to the point I coudnt and I didn’t do well I fainted I got dehydrated low oxygen. I haven’t been the same since. I’ve had lung X-ray and they said I looked fine. I still have a caugh years later I worked 38hrs this week and I’m Exhausted I use to do 50hr a week lawn maintenance and wouldn’t be tired. My cat that wouldn’t stay away from me when I was sick not long after got heart disease and had to put him to sleep cause his Lu gs filled with fluid. I think Covid had something to do with it. Covid did something to me and I haven’t been the same ever since. I’ve been dropping lawn accounts so I don’t have to work as much cause I’m always tired.
  • Thank you for creating these informative videos that have been a source of valuable information all the way through the pandemic.

Lets hope that our Gain of Function experts make a new and better virus and save the planet.
  • @brianwilson7497
Thank you so much for this data-driven information. Getting more sunlight (due to watching your videos) has genuinely improved my chronic (2 years) LC symptoms. Im going to start hitting a sauna just to see if that can help too. Best wishes.
