Life-time Floridian and In the past all the storms that headed straight into the gulf have GROWN in the last 24hrs before landfall... Trust the direction but not the strength. Stay safe everyone and prep for the worst and hope for light showers and a mild breeze.

I am born and raised here in Pinellas County Florida just west of Tampa I am a fisherman and a stone crabber and I can guarantee you this is going to be a cat 3 to a cat 4 tomorrow we wake up there is no land interference all hot water perfect ingredients for rapid wrapping intensification not to mention it's going to stall eventually. But I'm ready to rock and roll let's do the damn thing

Went to bed with Ian predicted in Tampa as a cat 1, woke up to it hitting us in Englewood as a cat 5. I don't trust any of these prediction models.

Why do you advise to drain pools? In many places, an empty pool can float out of the ground when there is too much rain. ??
