Onewheel GT Review: 600 Hard Miles

Published 2022-06-09
Its time for a full review of the Onewheel GT. I feel like I finally have had enough riding time to give a real opinion on the board. My thoughts come from 80% trail riding and about 20% or so of street. So keep that in mind! I hope you get some solid nuggets that you need!

This is not only the best GT review but the best Onewheel review I've seen. You touch up on everything that all the hardcore's know about and you don't keep it simple. It hear too much of this: "it's good" "it's fun" "it has torque" "it's fast." I very rarely run into someone who likes to talk about all the fine details that you only know about from being experienced in the craft of Onewheeling.
  • The GT has really unlocked the more cross country style MTB trails for me. Those quick changes from decline to incline bogged the XR down, but the GT eats it up. Once the aftermarket companies like TFL get up to speed this thing will be unstoppable! Great review and content!
  • Watched so many GT videos just now while working, and needed one where the intended audience was more experienced. Thanks for the great video! My GT is charging now! I know it’s going to be so different than my Tail Rail XR, but I’m stoked! Got the slick.

Thanks man, I love how you give an open opinion and don’t complain about everything like other people

Dang dude you do great videos! Straight to the point and I 100% agree with everything you have to say about the GT! Keep up the great work!

Cool beans, hope to upgrade next year to the GT.

Thanks for the update; love mine only issue i find is the funk squarely wobble at times
  • Just saw your ride on the Lightning Rails, and was wondering if you could post a video giving a little more of your thought on them, especially what you think of combining the Lightning Rails with an Enduro when the GT version comes out.

Thanks for the video, I’m new to this sport and bought a GT last month. I recently experienced push back while going up a mild paved hill. Got up to about 15 mph and the nose dived, resulting in many deep abrasions on my body. It was set on Flow, does anyone have any tips on why this happened? I didn’t feel like I was doing anything wrong, just accelerating up the road and next thing I know, I’m losing tons of blood!

  • Good video, float Ryder is a really good speaker. Clear and concise points. Wonder how we can get the weight down??

Good honest review. The GT rides like a GT. Hub swap? I"ll just wait for the enduro tire.

The clearance for me is a big issue. I ate it the other day n my uphill; nose scraped and took a dive. I live in a hilly area and now I’m scared to get back on it. Its just too thick of a board i feel.

Thanks man… i’m also making onewheel gt videos on my other channel called the dim sum tech. I use this account to watch vids because it’s premium.

Nothin digs into my feet through my Sketchers. 😎 Not ashamed.
  • The technology to make a sub-20lb street/trick version of a Onewheel exists. If FutureMotion won't give it to us someone else will. You can't stop progression in board sports. The review didn't mention the DRM garbage FM built into the GT
