Also know as Fast lane fever. This is the epic race scene that was at the ending of the movie. The blown 57 chevy against the Fox 1 Challenger.

That donut they left on Wyralla Rd, Miranda, Sydney was there for years.. I used to live a few blocks away. I remember watching them filming it . I was about 13 and with a bunch of friends with BMX bikes..

HELLO HELLO NO POSSIBILITY THAT YOU RAISE THE FULL MOVIE I appreciate it
  • Fox knew he was done. That's why he said, Standing quarters out. Love V-I-C-T-O-Rs Peter Arcadiplane Mad Max front end XB Panvan. Wonder if he ever got it hopping ? Lol. Going up Whallah RD , Miranda 2morra to get some pics. And when cars leave startline of race there is no dounut mark on the road. .🤔🤔🤔

I guess in the 80s sometimes you don't want to give up your car. Rip.. Fox..
  • watched this on VHS until the streaks took over. dead on time/running on empty

The owner of the 57 Chev wouldn't actually let anyone else drive the car in the film. Couldn't blame him really as he had a LOT of money invested in the car. During the movie, the cars 'owner' Rebel (a blind man) claimed the Chev did a standing quarter in 9.2 seconds. This was the real owner's best time in the 800 hp beast. You can see the real owner driving when Mike is doing his doughnut burnout before the race with Fox.

Some dodgy special effects, but the challenger is one of coolest movie cars ever, and the ending where fox calls it a day, lights a smoke and floors it into the wall is classic.I think he was sick of looking like boy george so he did himself in...

  • @46oldboy
the story goes that the chevys owner did the burnout for the movie and check out the explosion at the end its a steel wheeled valiant coupe ,aussie car that blows up .fucking cool movie.....
  • @42lookc
Never saw a car blow right up without hitting anything before.
  • @Hot80s

  • @jamiew3246
best part of this film is when they fit nitrous to his 351 falcon imo 😀
