the false narrative that the media was feeding people when the hiatus news dropped was so bad that the members took it upon themselves to clarify lmao. Jungkook's was hilarious, he was making fun of it on live because of how ridiculous the media was being 😂

Suga started Suchwita his talk show to help promote the guys solo work. Each member indicates that they can’t wait to be together again. They hang out all the time. I think the Western Music industry can’t understand that BTS are true brothers who actually love and care for each other. 💜💜💜
  • The funny part is that each member had before solo mini projects combined with the group activities, the mixtapes from RM, SUGA, J-hope, the solo songs in their albums and so on. And even now each member supports the solo projects of the others.

As what BTS, specifically Suga cleared that they NEVER said that they're on Hiatus, only media assumed that they are.
  • It the South Korean government had said that BTS qualified not to go into the military and the BTS members didn't 'volunteer' to enter it wouldn't have turned out well of BTS in the South Korean media or GP and other fandoms BTS would have been figuretively 'torn to pieces'. As it was the other Kpop companies who asked for the change in the law and cited BTS as the example then turned around and complain bitterly and petitioned the Government to Remove the New Law. As only BTS qualified under the 'New Law' and they moaned it was too hard and unrealistic for any other Kpop artist to qualify for the extension which of course is true. The S K government don't just hand out the Cultural Merit Award to anyone. BTS are the only Kpop idol's that have that prestiage award given to them.

Before the BTS Law and when MOTS 7 was new we all expected them to leave in 2020. All the signs were there. They had just resigned a contract and Jin’s deadline for the military was coming up. Also, they had teased that Map of the Soul would be 3 albums, Persona, Shadow and Ego. However, Shadow was delayed for many reasons. The fact that they didn’t just delay the whole project was a sign that they were running out of time, especially since they wanted to have a huge tour before leaving. But covid happened. PTD and Yet to Come became the tiny version of what MOTS7 world tour should’ve been. And their announcement “came out of nowhere”. I mean, any ARMY that heard Yet to Come knew that was a hiatus song.

They just signed a new contract. They will reunite in 2025. They will be bigger and BETTER 💜💜💜💜💜. They’re not like most boy bands. They really love and respect each other. That’s the DIFFERENCE

    1. You asked about Western groups whose members also have solo work. One that I know is Pentatonix. Except for the newest member, Matt, all the other members have solo albums. Kirsten was also in the cast of a Broadway show. 2. You're right that some people back then made disbandment comments without even knowing the back story. I remember feeling so angry about a reaction channel with two guys, and I'm not one to get easily angry. They were so smug about it. They acted like, ARMY thought BTS wasn't disbanding because we were just naive fans, while they were the "experts", the ones who had been there done that saw groups announcing hiatus and never getting back together. Of course they didn't say it in so many words, but that was how they came off. 3. Like others have said, BTS members have released solo work prior to Chapter 2. And they HAVE collabed on their solo work in the past. Suga have songs with members as features, i.e. "Strange" ft. RM and "Huh?" ft. J-hope, as well as remakes of his songs "Tony Montana" ft. Jimin and "So Far Away" ft. JK and Jin. Also, JK was a background vocalist for Jimin's "Letter". V recorded one of his songs at JK's home studio. RM is always ready to help the other members with their lyrics, especially English lyrics. They've also released duets in the past, like "Four o'Clock" by RM and V. It's really not uncommon for members of a K-pop group to release solo songs/albums and subunit songs/albums alongside their group work. 4. In this Chapter 2, there are so many people becoming ARMY after seeing one of the member's solo work. It has been that way even before this. Getting introduced BTS after watching V in "Hwarang" is one of the most cited examples. What's funny is that many fans of Agust D don't know that he's actually Suga of BTS.

Truthfully, when this was all going down back in the dawn of 2022 (although I was a new ARMY back then) I didn’t even bat an eye. I had no doubt in my mind they were literally taking a rest from group activities and releasing solo albums and I couldn’t wrap my head around the people who were talking crazy about disbandment or wtv. It’s literally crystal clear that they were tired and just wanted some breathing time as they released their albums in prep for the military. There was nothing to trip up about even as new as I was.

Boracity magazine made a new vid more recently because BTS re-signed a new contract a few weeks/months ago. Yo nice! Keep going! 💜

Here is one thing to note ... BTS is a military-themed symbolic concept from the very start. The nomenclature that surrounds the band are military words & concepts That militaristic concept starts with their very band name, as invented by BangPD. I don't know why he gave the band name a military theme, perhaps something to do with being macho & bravado, as they started as a hiphop group, of which that genre of music sometimes has had naturalistic tendencies to be aggressive & macho because of its history, beginning in the early 1970s. But what I am trying to say is that if you start off as a military theme, you stay like that forever, it is part of your history, even if you change things over time, like your band logo. If BTS, a fictional military concept group, does not go to actual real military, of which the country they happen to be born in, & as citizens of, have conscription, it is possible that they could be mocked & belittled by haters & critics for not going, for that same reason that they are a military concept, for the rest of their lives. It could somehow taint their history & legacy, & could mark them as cowards too, even if other men in SK have been exempted officially. So I think that when BangPD invented the band concept, their fate & destiny was sealed from the very start, unbeknownst to Bang & to everyone else. Call it divine providence. BTS has gone through many trials & tribulations, so I think going through service is just one more rite of passage they have to go through, except in this case, going through this trial is very highly respected, highly esteemed & admirable. Thus going to service should be a positive & not a negative. Yes, the exemption thing had been dangled like a carrot in front of their faces, but let's remember that BTS did say years ago that they will serve & now they have given their word to that. When BTS comes out on the other side, they could probably be the only music band in modern world history that is both fictional & non-fictional military. They will probably now know how to handle real guns, instead of just using the hand gestures of a pistol they have used for years & still use to this day. They will also handle real bulletproof vests, grenades/bombs, have real musters, perhaps even real reconnaissance (scout) training. They will then also be part of two armies, instead of just one as before. They will come out stronger than before. And who knows, probably a tiny bit more muscular too. Because of that service, there should be no excuse for haters & critics to hate them for not going, so haters should actually respect them for that. Because in the grand scheme of things, there is a reason why that military is there in the first place, as it is a serious & important matter to serve & protect where they are, for that seriousness goes above & beyond the entertainment/music industries worldwide. It's not all fun, games & music, folks & BTS will become a part of that 3 quarter-century history (thus far) of defending their nation & the rest of our planet. Maybe BTS will also stand for Big Time Soldiers. Good luck to all of them & hope to see them through to 2025. In 10 to 20 years, BTS & the fans will look back & see how short the service was in hindsight. "Fighting!"

There are many reassurance too from all members saying that they will return on 2025 as a fan I will always continue to support the boys. They will become bigger and more amazing.
  • @m.soberano792
BTS members initially used to have a lot of fights/arguments (for various reasons from dumpling issues to choosing dorm room, etc.). They just made an effort to get to know each other and get along. Jin said in an interview, they don't impose their individual "wants and likes" if it is a BTS projects. That will go to their solo works.
  • @nuhkyah23
The rapline had always been doing solo work, it's just that it not go through the regular promotion schedule and were considered "gifts" to the fans but there are many people that found out about BTS through the rapline mixtapes. Suga had always been doing outside work, producing for other artists , they even win awards outside of BTS. I'm pretty sure the vocal line did not release mixtapes because of their own reasons but they did sing sound track songs for different kdramas. It's like JK said in a recent interview, them doing solo projects really just happened naturally for them at this time because the rapline had already influenced them to do so. They will definitely be continuing to release solo projects when they regroup but it will take longer because they will prioritize BTS work.
  • @lolalo6344
I remember a newbie reactor hearing that a btw member had a solo album (before the hiatus) and they responded with: " are we supposed to hate him like we hate Zayn?" I really don't get the comparison...
  • Huh? They already released solo albums though? With different target audience and sound. And the rapline, even before the hiatus has been releasing solo music while being in the group. RM — Rap Monster(Mixtape 2015), Mono(Mixtape 2018), Indigo(Album 2022) AGUSTD — Agust D(Mixtape 2016), D-2(Mixtape 2020), D-day(Album 2023) JHOPE— Hope World (Mixtape 2018), Jack in the Box (Album 2022) JIN JK — Golden (Album 2023) V — LayoVer (Album 2023) JIMIN — Face (Album 2023)
  • I can give you one example eg Queen as Freddie Mercury did a few solo things outside of Queen as band and the other band members supported him in those solo one off's.
  • Yes in K-pop it (hiatus/solo activities) was actually started by BIGBANG, everyone thought their solo mean they'll disband but they didn't and because YG entertainment take forever to have comebacks, the fanbase was not surprise with their Hiatus. Others things happened and now they disbanded but it's proof that a hiatus can just be a hiatus.
