I loved this game as a kid, the music, the characters, the atmosphere..I loved everything about it. It's so nostalgic to see the intro after all these years

2 is always the love hate one. When I was a kid I never got close to ever beating it but I loved the game so much i remember playing it like it was yesterday.

Idk why but those ice levels with the vases? Hella nostalgia!! And the rocket ship. Oh yeah and the lil ninja star guys and throwing bombs at the walls.

The potions in this game are probably part of the reason why the Super Mario Bros. Super Show involved magic, and there's also a Birdo in the first episode, as well as pigeons in the episode Mario's Magic Carpet, which could be the same birds in this game. Even the music from the main theme of this game is played very often in the show. This game itself is actually very interesting also, because it was not made into the typical formula of a Mario game.

Like many, I absolutely love SMB2. To me it is one of the perfect examples of how a platform game should be done. Since I'm an adult, I was kinda shocked to discover some people dislike it. Sorry but, this is head and shoulders better than the Japanese one. Is not even a contest. The controls alone leave the other in the dust, let alone graphics, music and the gameplay.
