  • I would KILL to be able to go back in time and see a Velvet Underground show. They’re so ahead of their time it’s actually insane

Watching this...even 50 odd years afterward...with 50 odd years of experiencing cutting edge technological innovation as a concert goer AND, as a 35+ year performer - playing shows on bills that are/were incredibly adventurous and, technically advanced...or, wildly creative...knowing what is possible...none of that matters because THIS is almost like some kind of put of body/mind transformation...between the incredible performance, great sound and, Danny Williams' revolutionary light show...my brain is frozen and I am just completely blown away...THANK YOU FOR THIS GIFT OF HISTORICALLY IMPORTANT ART

Hard for me to imagine that a band could sound so good

I love the dancing guy in the white jeans and open shirt. He's hardcore into it.

A beautiful collision of distorted garage psy punk & clarity of vision. Many thanks for sharing just wish the vocals were a little louder in the mix ;-D
  • This is probably the only video footage of the original velvet underground, truly amazing, thank you so much for posting ☯️🕉🙀👁
  • @mavjimbo
Love how the song goes on and on
  • @je7647
best footage ive seen of tvu live around this era. amazing band

Cant describe how much i love this band. They sculpted pretty much every form of modern music. Nobody then or ever since has sounded like them. Music from a different galaxy. Sterling Morrison is one of the greatest guitarists and Lou the greatest rhythym player.

William Burroughs plus The sound of dry oblivion of TScEliot’s Wasteland as told by Johnny Fuller Four. The Velvets were the most sophisticated rock band of all time.

Thanks for showing this. I saw them in 93 but nothing like this.
