Nanna Niko does a brilliant job of keeping watch when required, she won't even leave his side to go out to the toilet! Nathan has been teething and crying a little which is quite unusual for him so the dogs have been very attentive and concerned for him. Niko took it upon herself to guard him on the comfy bed and stay there all morning conveniently! They don't like when he cries but not in an adjitated way, more a concerned trying to reassure way. The dogs and even the cat can sense the vulnerability of a small child and like to look after them it's so cool to watch and live the interactions of them. Anyway, what do you all think of the thumb sucking?? let us know below your experiences, of your kids, maybe not yourself unless you have a really good memory!

  • It's such a sight to see Niko cuddling so much with Nathan. I wish I could sleep like Nathan! Maybe if I had Niko cuddling with me.😊

Niko loves Nathan ❤ She's a loving mommy 😊 This is the first time I have seen Milo meowing so loud and purring 😍

Animals are amazing. My sisters and I are all in our 50's or 60's now, but I can still remember visiting my aunt when my youngest sister had just started crawling a lot. My aunt didn't have a gate to keep her off the steps, but every time my sister would crawl over to the bottom of the staircase, my aunt's poodle would go over with her, grab her by her diaper and drag her away from them.

Nana Niko is a very responsible guardian of “her” babies & I’m sure Milo’s purring is very soothing to Nathan. The Matthews Kiddos are so fortunate to be surrounded by so much love. Good luck with Teething 2.0! ❤🥰

Extra fluffy Niko on mom duty like she's guarding one of her extra fluffy malamute puppies, she knows what to do no training needed 🐕
  • She's so maternal, it's sad she didn't have a litter of puppies 🥰

I love Niko so much! She can be a fierce protector or just being so darn cute. Milo comes in to see what's up and tries to act so casual. Nathan has such a good family.

It's amazing how attentive the pets are to their human babies! Any extra crying, or any unusual noises, and they just have to stay close and make sure everything is ok. 🥰🥰

What a sweet, gentle environment. The lady's soft voice, the baby, the dog, the cat. Just beautiful!

My boys did well with cold teething rings. I was lucky neither one of them sucked their thumbs. They did always run a fever while teething. As Always Thanks For Sharing Your Beautiful Family ❣️
  • First of all, congratulations on such good parenting on your parts to both your human and furry kids. Concerning Nathan's troublesome teething, I have a suggestion that worked for my son. To avoid using a dummy, you can take organic cotton facecloths dampened and then put in plastic ziplock bags and freeze them. When needed take out the frozen cloth and have Nathan chew on it. It will relieve his need for biting, help the teeth to break through, and the cold will relieve the pain. Keep quite a few frozen cloths in the freezer. After using once the cloth must be washed thoroughly and can then be reused. I hope this suggestion is helpful.

Nathan is such a beautiful baby, you can tell how much Niko and Milo love him. I was a thumb sucker and my parents had a very hard time getting my off it, I actually didn't stop until I was almost 8 years old so I remember. What made me stop was the dentist telling me I would need braces, when I saw them I got so freaked out I actually immediately stopped sucking my thumb.
