Last House Update before we MOVE! | New Construction Build 2024

On the last day that we moved out of the house that we raised our kids in, I went in every room and just touched the wall and asked God to bless the next family. We lived there for 26 years so it was emotional but it was time to move on. My husband was packing our vehicle outside and he didn’t know that I had done that until he saw my tears when I got in the car. He smiled and said he had walked around the house and prayed too but didn’t want me to see his tears❤. We both laughed/cried and said goodbye to that sweet house. I can’t wait to see your new house decorated and I know it will be lovely. 👏

Oh Amy, it is sad to see you leaving your beautiful old home but so exciting to see your beautiful new Home!! I can’t pick out a favorite spot in your new home because each space is absolutely gorgeous and unique. I will say the great room, kitchen and dining area are just so beautiful and I know that will be where all of you will be together so much. ENJOY! 😊❤😊

In the home I lived in for almost 50 years we had a fireplace in the lower level of the bi-level. Our mantle was a railroad tie. It looked very much like your mantles.

Your new home is lovely, best of luck and God bless your new home! I sobbed when we sold and left our 1896 Victorian. We completely rebuilt my childhood home after my Mom passed away. My Dad built the original home in 1951. I love our home but will always love our 1896 beauty!! Like you, we only lived in our 1st home for 4.5 years. We lived in our 1896 home for 19 years. Have fun with decorating your new home, I'm excited for you! ❤
