Remember when our grandad had a wife, 2 kids, a car, a house and could go on a nice vacation once year while only working 1 job for 40 hours a week? Those were the good ol’ days! 😂

Families used to live off of one income now it’s taking two incomes and side hustles. I don’t think this is good for society to continue to live like this.

Big ups to everyone working effortlessly trying to earn a living while building wealth. My wife and I we are both retired with over $2 million in net worth and all paid off debts. living smart and frugal with our money, made it possible for us this early, even till now we earn passively with our asset coach. Adapt to a lifestyle, be thrifty, set a budget, save money and build more streams.

SO sad that we've gotten to where both spouses have to work and have side hustles to try to get ahead.
-
Isn't it wild how everyone is just expected to have more than one job anymore? Instead of demanding that companies pay fairly, we just get second and third jobs like that's normal.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I am an assistant manager at a credit union, make about $54k a year. My side hustle is selling sports cards on ebay and working part time as an usher at a minor league baseball park. Those side gigs bring me about another $12k a year and they are fun to do.

I have created my own dog sitting business as my side hustle. I usually make 50-100 bucks per day, and usually I just stay the night in clients homes. It’s perfect because it doesn’t take a ton of time, and I can still work my regular job around it.

When I was little and I was asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” My first answer was, “A dog walker.” That lady is living my dreams and made it a reality

I work security PT for $26/hr for my side hustle. It’s super easy and it’s weekends only. With me doing the side hustle on weekends, I’m currently working 7 days a week trying to get out of debt 💸. It’s worth it to me now.

“It’s never been easier to make $1,000…” Man, it’s never been easier to spend them either.

There is a guy I use maybe once or twice a year who cleans our cans out. I mean it's like maybe $10 a can, but he has a big water tank, a custom rig he built to hold the cans during cleaning, and afterwards they're clean enough to eat out of. Great side hustle for him and such a great service to offer.

I love the "I lie to people about squarespace pricing" side gig lmfao
-
Be careful with doing reselling as your side hustle. It might just become your full time job. Trust me, it did for me!
-
I still have a 9-5 and starting pushing hard on my side hustles.... and now my side hustles (print on demand, YouTube & Affiliate sales) now make more than my 9-5..... they are all done online which I love.

Buy storage units from companies that went out of business then sell it to businesses that do the same thing. That’s my jam

An acquaintance of mine works for a rideshare company in their corporate office. He admitted the company knows it's basically a scam and the drivers aren't getting paid anything meaningful once you consider wear & tear on the car. He told me "these people go out and buy a $20,000 car, make $10,000 driving, but when they're done the car is worth $12,000 and they spend $2k in maintenance and gas" Only the company made money. Unless the driver gets a killer tip, most aren't making anything. Most quit after 6 months once they figure out how little they actually made, but the business model is designed to constantly bring in new blood, people that can't figure out the cost accounting side of it.

In the 90s I always had a side job. Worked at a subway shop every Friday and Saturday night for year and years. Paid off my Jeep 3 years early

I graduated college and still couldnt get a job in my field. If i show you my inbox i got probably 2700(unfortunately while your qualifications were impressive) emails. So i changed my resume up. Did some research and said i had all this experience in a job i knew i could learn with on the job training(operations management, general management of a warehouse etc). Got the job paying 41.50 a hour. Went from 17 to 41 just with some...ingenuity lol
