I very much appreciate the research and physiology information you include in your videos. As a nurse committed to evidence-based practice at work, I can't leave that philosophy at the door when I go home and pursue my own interests in learning more about medicinal uses of natural compounds. Thank you for your high quality work and sharing your knowledge!
  • Some of the best information on the healing properties of birch I have ever heard. The birch is amazing. I live in Nova Scotia and was not aware of how the Mi'kmaq used the birch. Thank you for sharing

I like how you don't simply tell us what a plant is good for, you tell us how it works at a cellular level.

I'm learning a lot from you. Almost 40 years ago I knew tons about natural healing. I've forgotten so much since then, but lately I've become more interested as I would rather find a natural cure than take prescription meds. Keep those videos coming!

I think I'd use coconut oil instead of olive oil. It will form a solid cream if kept cool yet in a warm environment like a sunny window it melts to an oil and is great for your skin.
  • Thank you Adam for mentioning the Mik'maq, we hold the birch trees in very high regard and are so happy to learn that so many people want to learn more about the many benefits the birch trees have.

This is a great site! It is fact , people can eat trees (not fruits alone) bark can provide nutrition. Benefits from plants from - start with fresh so yes you have to cut part off , clean and dry CORRECTLY. Finish , tea infusions will have all the compounds originally found within. ie proteins fats carbs. That's it! Doug. Many store products contain improperly dried vegetation or stale expired materials, why foraging is only way.
