Ahead of garand thumb on this one
  • @BSquaredMfg
I'm so glad you enjoyed the end results of my project! It was great sharing our ideas and techniques, and it definitely helped me streamline the ammo counter. Thanks for the shoutout!

Haha Forgotten Weapons posting a video about a real M90 shotgun and you posting a video about a real BR55 Battle Rifle on the same day is just awesome. Cheers!

I remember when Garand Thumb made the initial MA37 video, and an online news outlet contacted him about it thinking it was real
  • @NovoCognition
That is quite the impressive introduction. I wonder about potential future collaboration between more such channels to advance and integrate these projects.

The thing i find ironic about this irl battle rifle is if it was a select fire rifle, it would be classified as an assault rifle due to it being chambered in an intermediate cartridge. A battle rifle is chambered in a full power rifle cartridge like 308/7.62x51. Absolutely not hating on this build. I just thought its a little funny. This thing is beautiful. And i certainly couldnt not make one better.

Given the caliber used more an "AR" than A "BR". That said IIRC the initial "BR" idea taken up by Bungie was based on the 9X39 or .300BLK which neither are battle rifle calibers either.

finally a great replica instead of "oh we slapped some parts on an F2000 or MDR"

Even when the game franchise itself has been disappointing me lately, projects like this from dedicated fans who share my love for what the games meant to us really fills me with joy. Thank you, and good luck on your future projects.

The military and Sig Sauer have been working on a rifle scope with an integrated camera that then shows up on Night Vision goggles but it's $10,000 or more I think. I imagine latency and connection stability are an issue though. Good luck trying to make your own or saving up the money for one. Would love to see it work with the Helmet Visor HUD.

343: We have another season of Halo Infinite for you. The community: “Fine. I’ll do it myself.”

I watched the grand thumb episode with the BR55 and you did an amazing job building the actual rifle. Great job. You are awesome

I just saw the video from Garand Thumb. Outstanding job my brother! There is no short of comments regarding the superb manufacturing of the BR55. Better than some actual manufacturers and that speaks volumes. If I could, I would purchase one myself since I've been a fan of the series since its inception. Keep up the great work and I look forward to what you create in the future.
