Full-time Vanlife in a 2009 Honda Element (with 2 People and 2 Dogs!)

In the summer of 2020, my fiancé and I built out our 2009 Honda Element into a full-time dwelling with the intention of living in the car while we saved for our van. We shot this tour of our build in October of 2021, days before we ended up purchasing our 2021 Mercedes Sprinter 144 4x4. We will be posting more videos on our van build as it progresses, but thought we should go ahead and share the video of our Element!

I am a huge proponent of vanlife- it has been my dream to live on the road for the past ten years, and it took a long time for me to realize I didn't need thousands of dollars to turn that dream into a reality. I lived in the Element as a solo female on and off for several years before I met my fiancé, Quinn. We found a shared interest in vanlife, backpacking, outdoor adventures, and sustainable living, and have found a way to turn our passions into a lifestyle.

The total cost of the build inside this Element was less than $200, though individual equipment was considerably more.
