Either way, I'm ready to take a beating. Bring it on.

I worked at a bbq restaurant for 2 years as a vegan. Its tough but it paid the bills. I would just lie when someone would ask me what my favourite meal is or what stuff tastes like.

“These people come in not knowing what they want. Like what do you want me to do? You have a menu right in front of you” I’m CRYING 😭

$15/16 an hour? A decent server makes abt $25/30ph.

I feel your pain man, I would've felt like an undercover spy if I needed to work there. And I would've done the same thing, planting seeds in people's minds, and upselling the veggie options. Just brush off any negative criticism you get, you do tons more good than most of the population anyways.

Ahhh. of course the vegan had to put vegan in the title, description, and use it as his one source of critique XD

Yea I asked you what you would reccomend. Hahahah

Mate, you're not fake (whatever that might mean). For now, we are living in a non-Vegan world and making the best of it. I worked in a Caviller Steak House, or flesh-pit as I called it. I sewed what seeds I could, mostly with colleagues or regulars but it was slim pickings! Being in GB I have never understood how waiters etc are paid in the USA. Here it is mostly legal minimum wage work which I think is just under 10GBP/hr less any tax of course. I believe in your part of the world it is permissible to pay only a fraction of that ($5 an hour maybe?) and restaurant patrons virtually expect to make up the rest of your income with tips, is that right? Here, people only tend to tip for service which is particularly good although pretty-face people seem to flirt (whore?) their way to extra cash which I guess is the same the world over. Sorry for the long post, take care:)
