Why does Las Vegas suddenly need street vendors ? Zero rules will ever be enforced.

I heard they need a license but heard nothing about a health certificate like restaurants have. Maybe I missed that part of the video.

Got these people full on cooking food under a tent on side of busy roads

To each their own, if you want to eat street food find by me. My wife likes “ street food” , thinks it’s great. I pass on it, I’ll wait until I get home.
  • Tastes a lot better than Del Taco. They need to focus on shutting down short term rental properties too. We need to show that we can have the strictest rules in the country on small businesses.

Personally, I think these street vendors really lower our standards for having a clean city. And they should be more than 150' from restaurants. Maybe make this an exception if these street vendors are held to the same policies of health inspection, property tax and business licenses.

You realize cooking feet away from the street, where car mufflers are blowing gas emissions and people spit on sidewalks is disgusting. No sinks for washing your hands. Keeping your meats at a certain cold temperature is a health problem,it could make people sick. I get people need to make a living but this is going to make people sick. You’ll see someone getting sued one day and the city too.

Where do these people get the money to buy all that stuff for their pop up businesses ? This has to hurt nearby restraunts and the food truck industry. There seems to be an oversaturation of them You see one, go a few blocks, there's another. Maybe they could have a lottery to open a limited number of them in select empty parking lot locations away from public sidewalks. How about taxes collected on profit, good luck with that. Looking kinda third world here in parts of town where they're the most prolific as they're popping up in nice neighborhoods too which has to make you feel good if you're a nearby homeowner.

Hopefully these new regulations will help Las Vegas return to the beautiful resort town it used to be 20 years ago, instead of becoming similar to East Los Angeles.

As a driver I seen some of the most disgusting things. I seen dirt dust blow into the meats and still being served . No hand washing sinks

If the food is good and doesn't make people sick, then they will thrive. Bad food or someone getting sick won't go back = fail business. Let them peddle, let them try to make a buck.

If I was paying 5 grand a month for rent at my restaurant I would be beyond pissed off. The street vendor has minimal overhead and is potentially stealing customers. If this is such a great idea it should be allowed on the strip, the fact that it isn’t tells you who the commissioners answer to.

Should focus on regulations to clean up the homelessness problem, this is ridiculous
