Thank you for choosing to watch our Cambridge driving test route examples with us today. In this particular video, we will be doing commentary over a route in Cambridge to help you pass your driving test.

This video contains a lot of examples of driving around residential streets and meeting oncoming traffic. There is a mixture of main roads throughout the main city for you to look out for.

With Cambridge also being a cycling city, there is a high chance you will meet with a cyclist on the roads. There are plenty of cycle lanes to encourage the population of Cambridge to cycle but as a driver, you need to learn to understand how vulnerable cyclists are on the road.

Do Note: These are not the official driving routes of Cambridge. It is not an effective strategy to solely look for test routes to help pass your test. We advise you to watch these videos alongside doing practical lessons with a qualified instructor. Not all driving test routes are the same and you need to be prepared for all eventualities when going for your test.

We have created 3 videos around the Cambridge area. We have recorded 3 sample routes of what a test route in Cambridge could include and we explain each video in various formats to help a wider audience benefit our content. We made a running commentary to help learners with dyslexia or English isn't their native language.

We made the hints and tips video to help learners who prefer to learn by reading. More beneficial to visual learners. The last video is a raw, unedited version of a route in Cambridge to help you and learners get a real-life feel for the video with all the sounds.

We hope you find great benefit from these videos. We wish you the best of luck on your driving test and if you pass, do let us know in the comments section below!

really useful . I failed first time for passing a parked car too closely and for stooping after that 1st white line at a traffic light and I went into the cycle part of the and i was out for around 20 mins and i have my second test this week in Cambridge

Noticed when the vehicle stopped after a blue Suzuki over bus stop sign @31:25, the car seems a bit far away from the blue car. Is the big gap necessary because of bus stop sign? Many thanks!
  • @InTheC-
So I’m doing my test tomorrow in Cambridge because all my local test centres are fully booked due to COVID. This video might be the reason I pass so thanks for the effort made!

Can you please specify the speed limits because in a built up area where 20 is not mentioned, is it 30 over there ?
