They found the kid’s name: Joseph Augustus Zarelli. The police apparently have a suspicion about who the killer was but remarked that it’d be irresponsible to be public with that information. One step closer, guys.

UPDATE: his name was Joseph Augustus Zarelli, he was 4 years old, from West Philadelphia and has living siblings. rest in peace little Joey, now you get a bit of the justice that is owed to you ❤️

To be fair, finding a boy in a box and not reporting it cuz you don't wanna be a suspect, only for the boy in a box to be found and reported by someone else , and THEN mentioning you found the boy in the box earlier but didn't report it because you didn't wanna be a suspect, is in and of itself extremely suspicious.

I remember watching this and wondering if he would ever be identified. Well I'm glad I was able to see that come true. Rest in peace Joseph, no longer unknown.

Why is nobody talking about how the boy wasn't in the system. Somebody secretly birthed this child. For what reason.. we may never know.

The fact that after 65 YEARS people were still fighting for this little boy, for Joseph. It makes me cry. So many people care about him and at least in death so many people love him. What a little angel, we love you Joseph

UPDATE: The Boy in the Box has been identified! The boy’s name is Joseph Augustus Zarelli. While authorities are still unsure who did such a horrible thing to this sweet boy, they are happy he now has a voice and hope that it will help to solve his murder. Fly high Joseph.

no one recognizing him itself is a clue. It's most likely the child biological parents, who never got his finger prints registered and kept him in secret and abused him

Finally, after 65 years we finally know this poor boy's name... His name is Joseph Augustus Zarelli unfortunately genealogists still don't know who the killer is. Genealogists said that Joseph has a number of siblings both on his mother and fathers' side who are living but out of respect they will keep the name of the parents confidential.
